As much as I think that car is bad ass, it would be one of those cars thats more of a museum piece instead of something you can drive. Regardless- looking forward to you getting it and checking it out! congrats!!
Wow that’s impressive- i cant compete with that. I disagree with every single post you make. Readers wld be well served using your views as a contrarian indicator. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
perhaps a pivot back towards the topic? A personal perspective... Ferraris has gotten far too aspirationally priced. The former CEO saw Ferrari as a luxury brand that was more about ego aspirations vs the actual product. They/ he assumed we would just pay...over and over again. Then they changed the rules of the game. Thus the price increases. WAY too many new cars. The very fact that the f8 has the guts of a Pista is Ferrari breaking from their own tradition. As a former Pista owner I was (am) saddened that they did this. Financial benefit for RACE reasons aside, it's sad. Doing that cheapens the brand and betrays the very people who paid the price $$ to make Ferrari what it is today. That's you and me, folks. If they continue down this path (and they will, of course) Ferrari will become just another car. (Ferrari will become Porsche.) Why? We all forgave Ferrari for their shortcomings. (paint quality, come on now...Ferrari paint is total crap) We gave Ferrari (perhaps un-earned) mystic. They are riding the wave of past performance. We decided that Ferrari was special. Ferrari decided we are fungible. Definition of fungible (Entry 2 of 2) : something that is fungible (see FUNGIBLE entry 1 sense 1) : a good one part or quantity of which can be substituted for another of equal value in satisfying an obligation —usually used in plural As a result, we paid up for what sometimes was less. Mclaren, Porsche, and others are going to close the gap as Ferrari continues to try to get people (like all of us) to overpay for products that are the same or at best marginally better vs competition. Being honest, I do feel betrayed. We had many new Ferraris. All gone. If we get back into Ferraris it will be a 458.
It's not a contest, we all have our opinions. Nothing here is 100% fact. I just happen to love cars and go through a lot of them. I figure I/we have only so much time to enjoy anything so I am blessed to enjoy these cars and other super fun things. All good my friend.
I love how it looks and the deal is pretty darn good plus it would look good next to my GT500. And why not?
What do you define as pretty good deal on one of these? I’ve seen prices all over the place. Pm me if you don’t wanna share publically.
Funny thing, I opened a performance shop this year and we will soon have our dealers license. For me it is mostly for fun. If I break even it's a win.
I'll send you the details as soon as I confirm. It's likely I pull the trigger unless things go sideways.
here the difference is about £200,000 - 13 years of working minimum wage 9-5! it's a signifcant amount of money, the problem is peoples lust and williing to pay such a premium for delivery or sub 4k mile cars
Why would anyone do that? Just buy one on secondary for $50-$100K mark up and be done. F car dealers are still smoking crack, but there is always someone ready for a hit. Well you flipped your Pista and 'moved out of country' so you are happy.
