    Hi ,

Well, the headers of my 355 5.2, failed again. It´s the third time. Before I sent the headers to QV London to be refurbished. Last time one year ago!!! They made a very bad job...
They are cracked again and I don't want them to be repaired again, it´s not a good option.
Neither to buy headers from Ferrari.
So, what do you recommend me:
    Tubi, Fabspeeed, Quick Silver....
Please replay as soon as possible, and give me your best advice

    Thanks

all those options are good.. depends what you want to spend..

I have Fabspeed. and they have a strong warranty.

after 3 season of use, there was a fluke crack on the left header. the tubing did not fail, there was a weld between two of the tubes, I assume to lessen vibration.
the weld failed, and caused a crack. the sign was a continuous ticking at idle. after very close inspection, my tech found the crack.

fabspeed replaced it under warranty with no squabbles. contacted them, explained the issue, warranty approved. done.

im not as familiar with quicksilver or their price point.

if you want the closest to oem spec/design and price is not an issue, you can go with tubi.

but as you've learnt now with continuous rebuilds, almost anything aftermarket will be better.

Fabspeed, hands down. I am saddened that you went with OEM 2x. They are horrid the stock ones.

I have had Fabspeed after mine failed, never an issue again and they are beautiful.

    Thanks guys for your replies.
    Just three other questions:

1 - is it easy for a shop, even if it has experience on making race cars exshaust, replicate the headers for my 355. I know a shop near my home and they have a lot of experience on racing cars.
2 - Anybody knows the brand Supersprint? it´s a germany manufacturer
3 - where is located the european dealer of Fabspeed? It´s very difficult to import parts from USA, except if it is an official dealer

I have the fabspeed and love them. I installed a set of Tubis for a friend and was impressed by the build quality and value, no problems there either.

I tried to get fabspeed headers here I england, so hard to get hold of.
However I used superformance 4-2-1 manifolds. They have been on from the beginning of the year and have preformed perfect.
I have now done over 2k miles with then on and they sound great along with my capristo back box.
You can either coat them or leave them as is, there is no noticeable extra heat I the engine bay, and shields are used to protect both the alternator and power steering pump.
Here a link to a thread I made to document my purchase.

You would have to ask the shop that question. If they specialize in making custom headers and exhaust systems, I wouldn’t think it would be to bad for them. I had my headers replicated, but upgraded the stainless to 321. I also had them reinstall the oem clamshells.

If I didn’t go in that direction, Tubi would be the only other option. They replicate the 4-2-1 design like the oem headers and are also insulated.

You will want to make sure whatever you go with is heat shielded. There is a reason why the factory did it and Tubi does. It's because those things can get HOT and cook hoses and wiring. To me, Tubi is the only way to go. Just waiting for a really good price to come my way.

    William,
I saw the ad on the Superperfomance site, but I didn't think it was their own production. The price is significantly lower, although it has welds on curves, unlike Tubi, for example.
You have not noticed any changes in engine sound. For me this is important, the fact that Fabspeed, Tubi, etc. say that allows
Upgrading some HP, which I find it hard to believe, is not important. What I want is to keep the melodious sound of the 355 engine.
And those shields to protect the alternator and power steering pump, ... can also be bought at superperfomance?

    Thank you

Superformance does not make them, they are an agent for them. Very much like they dont make hills products either, they just sell them.
Dont know why weilds on bends bother you though. Mate you make your choice so buy what you like.
The tubes dont need covers, just like the fabspeed ones dont either, but you can ceramic coat them if you like. As I said from first hand experience, there is no noticeable difference in heat in the engine bay. As for heat shields for the alternator , they are easy to get fabricated. I have used heat material to cover and near by wiring, which in hind sight I did not have to bother.
I dont buy this BS about the factory knowing best, if they knew best they would not have used **** materials on there manifolds in the first place. I to replaced my headers with the factory ****, not good.
As for sound, I will send you a pm for your email, then I will send you a video of how it sounds.
    Good luck in your choice.

You still have to import it from the USA since dealers/resellers do not normally hold stock of the parts they offer.

over years and years I have ALWAYS heard from experience that Supersprint has extreme quality control issues as well as fitment issues. I've never read a good thing about them except the price.
