Don’t think it will be for a while. I suspect they are still calibrating and testing the car.

My recollection is that the last investor briefing implied deliveries had slipped from Q1/20 to H1/20 which suggests it is unlikely that any proper test will come before Easter next year with summer more likely

F8 was launched in February and the press just drove it last month. So that’s about 7-8 months from launch. Given that the SF90 launched at the end of May, I would guess no earlier than Q1 next year. Can’t wait to hear what people have to say once they drive it.

It appeared that way. When I was in the car it hadn’t even been finished, all models seemed to be in a pre-production state.

I think the car might be too rich for me. I thought the $470 MSRP on my 812 was mindless, this car is probably a bridge too far.

Ugh this comes out to 700 with the options I want. If it was numbered I’d be ok - but a production car for that price tag is a hard sell

Well clients are driving the F8 as we speak. And considering the F8 entered production on August 26th or there about, doesn't it make sense that tests will be a year out? Thinking if the SF90 enters productiin after the August shutdown 2020, then cars are ready for press and public in September and October as is the case now with the F8?

If you're paying 700K for a normal car, you might as well just up your purchase and buy a 918 or a Senna or something... Unless you already own those.

Take a look at what happens to 600k+ limited Aventadors if you want to get an idea of the value/depreciation. Market is too thin for normal series cares at those prices.

Ive always wanted a f40, I get it’s similar in the sense it’s not a numbered or limited car but I’ve always loved the design.
I’m just going to wait and see what the af package gets you. But your right about this price point and similarly situated cars.
    if I could get a senna ...

Amen to that...Sure, this car might not be one of the niche, limited edition models such as the GTO, the F40,LaFerrari et al but it brings that awesome power at a price range just in between the "supercars" and the "limited edition hypercars".

Just the proposition of saving more than a million or so, while getting performance figures similar to the Aston Valhalla, the Merc AMG One; is what makes this car an absolute game changer; and trust me, demand will be there

if it gets near the valhalla or One i'll be very impressed

the only annoying thing about this car (and others too) is that the carbon options make almost zero difference to the car (wheels aside) and I'd rather not have them but it makes resale difficult because the market is obsessed with them

if you are worried about resale at this stage then what's the point of buying one ?

The point is if you need to sell it for whatever reason (recession, business falls apart, death, divorce etc...) its easier to sell with the options people want. I never understood why people think that resale has nothing to do with the options you choose in an expensive car. The only reason I can possibly think of where resale isn't a factor if you have hundreds of millions in the bank, or intend to be buried in your car.

Valhalla is just a myth , a computer picture , nothing more .
Amg one is far from being produced .
SF 90 stradale is a tangible reality.

    And a relative bargain .

You hit the nail on the head with this one. People who don’t think about resale when purchasing a luxury toy like a Ferrari fall into two categories:

    1. They can afford a Ferrari now, but mark my words, they will blow their fortune before you know it and be back to buying ordinary cars.

    2. They have such a ridiculous amount of money it simply doesn’t matter.

For the most part, if you can afford this car you probably didn’t get to this point in life without thinking about depreciation and making smart purchase decisions.

I know more than a few people who are worried about resale of this potentially $650k car and are undecided at this point. They are wealthy but not FU money..

Some people dont care. Some people do care about losing $200k over 2 years and 5000 miles.

918s and Senna's are about 1.2 my last check. 600-500K is not chump change (I guess for some it is). This will probably be faster then 918s as well. Also with a factory warranty. As far as the Senna, the 500 allotted are all sold out correct? Some people just got to have that original owner sticker.
