    Hi All,

I apologize in advance if this has been covered on previous posts.

I am going in on Saturday (2 days from now) to build my new F8 - this will be my first new build. I have owned a 2010 - 458 and 2012 - 458 (still in my garage). I have always been able to negotiate the price on those cars since I purchased them used (I purchased both from Ferrari dealerships in US).

Is there any negotiation on new cars? Any negotiation on options? Or am I stuck with full sticker price and the retail $ for all options? It is not about the money (I will pay cash for the car) - more about my philosophy in life and having been able to negotiate on pretty much everything I have ever purchased since I was 10.

    Thanks
    OSU-Buckeye

Msrp for new cars. If you want to save money, get a 488 now and in a couple of years the f8 when prices settle. But right now it will be msrp for the f8.

Ain't happening. Take your KY with you.

You will walk in, build your exact spec, receive your car, pay MSRP and enjoy the hell out of it.

Go to sell and it will be a $100K++ hit. But you know that, so who cares.

Buy it and enjoy. Congrats in advance.

Straight MSRP no matter how good you are at negotiating. No exceptions on a new car. It is part of the experience. Congrats and let us know your final spec.

I also forgot to add that you wont know the final price until it arrives. They can tell you what the price is with your selected option based on today’s pricing. However if there is a price increase in the interim you will pay the pricing that is current when it arrives.

Cant touch the MSRP. Howver, unless i missed it, could you perhaps negotiate a trade value for the 458? Demand is pretty good for them now.

Thanks all - I already knew the answer but had to ask just to be sure. It still won't stop me from asking (can't help myself).

I have one on order as well. I’m assuming your spec’ing your car Saturday and submitting the order right away, when are they telling you to expect delivery?

I am like you... and you may ask... and do it with a smile. They will laugh politely and say no. Then give them a hard time about hats, or umbrellas or models or something for your kid... even if you don't have one. If they give you a matchbox car consider it a well deserved win.

Remember if you are getting one of the first cars... they are putting money in YOUR pocket... you should be tipping them.

F cars dealer always sell new at MSRP. Period.

Secondary is the market is way to buy F cars moving forward (and has been for past many years). Why lose $100-$150K when you can grab on secondary for HUGE discounts. I'm talking about mass produced F cars (most of them).

The competitors--especially McLaren are raising the bar (so is Lambo). Good for all.

yes, but do you believe F dealers will continue to sell at MSRP in the future, if their new car sales decrease?

They are the kings of BS tactics and sleezy ways so I leave it to them. MSRP here...buy a Lasso there...competition is king moving forward.

No one knows but there isn’t anything on the horizon that says they aren’t selling all they can produce. Every car is sold out, many with long wait lists.

Well- true. What I meant is they are selling enough where they don’t need to discount.

Very unlikely on F8. I did get good discount on my new California T that I specced few years ago.
