According to Directv Tulane plays Connecticut on Saturday afternoon, so i’m not sure why that would preempt quali or the race, assuming the activities don’t begin until 10PM EDT Saturday.

ESPN hasn't updated the schedule on their web site. But ESPN-News has another repeat of a six hour college football "discussion" program ("ESPN Goal Line"), so one might hope that might be truncated to run qualifying at 9pm eastern. I've been planning to tune in to the (cancelled) FP3 and Quali schedule to see if they run "program alert" at the bottom of the screen, over whatever they run in those time slots.

Yes but latest radar I have seen shows the eye moving towards Tokyo. It's still a few hours away till it hits land.
They are expecting 800mm of rain. With all that, how long will it take to unpack all the gear? We're talking all the production gear, cars, spares, tools, eqpt... Then have everything setup for Quali. Everyone pulls an all nighter?
