308 clocks

Where do we contact this Nick Radiopilot fellow ... his PM box is full!

 

I have several OEM style polycarbonate lenses if anyone is looking for concourse quality.

What's the next best option if Radiopilot is awol?

Alternatively, how does one remove the crimped-on metal retaining ring to get the thing apart. (Yes I have thought of cutting it but I am not sure I can get a replacement). If cuttting is the way to go, who has replacements (along with a new glass)?

 

The metal ring can gently be separated from the unit by working the back tabs. I have a few OEM style polycarbonate lenses. There are also glass lenses that have a slot and not a hole for the adjustment pin.

 

After talking with Norwood I went ahead and shipped mine to Mo-Ma Mfg in NM along with all the other gauges for refurb. These guys do nothing but vintage and antique gauges.

 

Do you have any spare button by chance ?

 

If you are referring to the adjustment knob - then no. Sorry....
I have an extra adj shaft and gear...

 

Thanks, I keep an eye open for that knob. It is the same on some Lancia clock.

 

You can print one on Shapeways as well...

 

This clock on eBay looks pretty rough, but the stem/shaft looks decent.

Isn't the clock in a Fiat 124 the same as the 308 version? Looks identical from the front.

 

No the 124 version is far from the 308 veglia (12-9-3-6 - VEGLIA BORLETTI - quarzo). Even the knob is diferent (even if it looks the same on the top part, the rear is straight, as the 308' is not).

 

Anyone know where I can get a new clock face? Tried everywhere...no joy.

 

Did you want just the glass piece?

 

yes - just the face...my plastic face is almost opaque.

 

I see that a lot and I have no idea why mine hasn't done it yet.

It spent the first 2 years with me outside with nothing but a car cover, then the next 10 in a carport with the cover.

He must be out of stock; unfortunate... as I bought one from there about 3 months ago and installed it, very pleased with the results.

 

I got my clock glass from Unobtainium Supply Co. Looks Like new.

I had some extra poly lenses made when I had mine redone a few years back. Still have a few left. Laser cut with protective film on them.

 

He had some made out of glass.
