It was an absolute pleasure to meet you Robb. A shame the rain came down but it was fun despite it. Look forward to your next visit.
No garage Queens in Sydney. Great to meet you Rob. Hope you had a great time. When you come back to Sydney again hopefully it is nicer weather that way we can go faster!!!
Made it back to George’s place to meet his family and check out his millions of scale car models and Ferrari memorabilia. Great time for sure. The Pista absolutely matches his character but it’s also nice for him to have his somewhat matching Scud in tow when he needs that different fix. If he adds an F355, he’ll pretty much have a greatest hits from each gen. And I did promise to let Elliott know that although I’m not normally a gold wheel guy on most of our cars, I really thought George’s pair were good to go for the gold. As the main work season slows down, I’m excited about the cooler weather and down time in AZ. If any of the Tifosi are in the area drop me a note. I always have great times meeting other owners on the road. Robb
Got to take out the cars today. Really nice weather and not many cars out on the roads... Josh and Andy at FMS dialed the car in and lowered it as much as they had room. Only a very small bit left on the springs. I'll post the numbers so you all can see the results. Bottom line is that the Blu car looks even better now. I'll look forward to another photo shoot soon. Yes, I'll be attending the drives and concours. I will guess not so many blue cars in attendance. There are supposed to be four 355 on the grass based on the check in emails sent to me for the concours. I think one is an F1. But hopefully after the event is over into 2020, other owners in the area will drop me a line. Robb
The 360 stick is a great car. Especially with those carbon fiber sport seats... On my favorite loop today. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
Got some sticky parts back from Dave for my 360. They really look great and obviously laser-etched to perfection. The blank plate was not refinished as it was an aftermarket piece housing my laser / radar bulb... but at least it won’t get sticky. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
The radio knobs weren’t sent in yet but the rest of the central dash console is back and is fantastic. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
That a nice looking car, Robb. Thankfully it doesn't have the drop dead ugly star wheels. That's Rosso Barchetta, correct? One of the 1st F355 spiders I looked at was RB. Would have bought it but everything was very sticky, it needed a major and the seller wanted $10k more than spiders were going for at the time. Almost regret not buying it. 13k miles at the time, and otherwise cosmetically perfect. But with it needing a major and the sticky stuff, and who knows what else, it was way over budget. Yes. Rosso Barchetta, 19” challenge wheels. Waiting on the titanium bolts. Carbon mirrors. Will likely add the CS front bumper and skirts in the future. Probably my favorite red for bright Arizona. We already have one Rosso Corsa in the garage. I like The darker red better. This 360 was a special order car as Rosso Barchetta was an out of range color by then. Red stitching on black leather. The stick operation is (just a bit) smoother and better feeling on the F355 than the 360 because of the rod vs cable linkage. But the 360 stick is also a great drive and will likely be sought after many years to come. And the 360 is a Very fast car. While no one EVER says they'd pass on not needing more hp, I really would say that the F355 and 360 seem to be the best most usable cars that are already a bit too fast for today's roads. You can spool up to 100 or more so ridiculously fast. Not Mclaren fast but you get the idea. More time on the track is likely required for these cars to be an even better driver. Robb
I added the last letter on this license plate to somewhat match the one on my F355. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
Robb, love the color of your 360. I like the 360 Challenge look and if I had a street 360 I would look at making the front look like a challenge car
So just a tow hook? It has the same grills and sized bumper. Challenge Stradale has slightly more chiseled longer front bumper which I like. What else were you thinking? The challenge cars had these same skirts. I do like the rear Lexan with scoop and extra oil cooler in the lid of the challenge car. Challenge also had front hood fasteners. CS has edgier skirts. Robb
I’m a fan of the original series challenge cars. Image Unavailable, Please Login And while I can appreciate the GT race cars by Michelotto, I’m not really a fan of that look for street cars. Image Unavailable, Please Login Robb
