991 TS is the best DD money can buy, if you want ultimate DD this is the one, if you want drama and passion it it not the one. I had 997 TS and I must say when I sell my 991.1 3.8 C2 S cab I will replace with 991 TS for sure, they are also exceptional value in the market right now

Porsche Turbo S has to be the most boring car on the face of the earth. Can’t stand that car.

Portofino far surpasses Porsche Turbo for Daily Driver IMHO...

I had a 997 Turbo coupe and a Turbo S cab. Drove the Coupe 12 months per year and it was the best winter vehicle in snow. Boredom set in with the TTS and have absolutely no interest in ever owning another one. However, in year round temperate climates, the 720S and 488 are equally comfortable as the TTS and infinitely more exciting as a DD.

I agree, the turbo s is a fantastic car for a daily driver

absolutely rapid, insanely capable and blends in on the streets more than all other exotics, so you don't get hate and abuse / draw too much attention to yourself

There exists a direct corelation between the color of a car and the attention it elicits. A silver Porsche will receive minimal recognition. The same car in lime green will create infinitely more.

I don’t think we are agreeing. I’m saying the Porsche turbo sucks. Boeing as hell to drive.

We agree then, those turbos really suck a lot of air in and it's as quick as a Boeing!

Especially with the new vacuum cleaner exhaust system. You’ll be able to drive anywhere you like completely unnoticed! A proper Ferrari indeed!

Too funny. Enjoy that Porsche Turbo. Id much rather drive something else. You couldn't pay me to own one of these cars.

Wow so much Porsche hate here!

Re the negative remarks on the TTS; if it's a 997tts that the hate is being directed at here then I would concur in that my short experience in 997tts didn't leave me all that excited either. However, the 991tts OTOH was a whole different ball game. Loved that car! To say a 991tts car is boring is leaving the blame sit with the car instead of with the driver which is where the blame really belongs if boring is the attempted label. I'm very keen to see how 992tts fares once it's released....am sure it will be amazing! Be surprised if it wasn't.

You are too funny man. When you don’t like a car, it must be because the car sucks. When someone else doesn’t like a car, it has to because they are a bad driver.

    Comical.

Sorry to call you out here Socal but given there are Fchat members who either own, or have owned the TTS and reported great pleasure from the car - backed up by mostly favorable reviews - does raise question to the motive behind the "boring" claim particularly in the absence of an explanation.

My suggesting that the driver should take ownership of the boring element is a fair call given the car has been largely quoted as a brilliant all- rounder....which again I would wholeheartedly agree with. And sure, it's not a GT car but then it wasn't meant to be....just a jack of all trades and in many cases found to be a master as well. Now I wouldn't call that boring!

Anything can be driven daily. Doesn’t make it a good Daily Driver... I rode a bicycle daily in college. Don’t consider it a daily driver.

I would prefer the 720S or 488 as a DD to the Turbo S.

Oh dear, SoCal's dealer unpleasantness has resulted in porsche traumatic stress disorder and he's now holding on to resentment like a confederate widow.

For god's sake don't nobody mention 911s again, I can feel his eye twitching inspector dreyfus style from here ... lord knows what happens to him when he sees one on the road.

    :)
