    Hey guys,
So I've always had problems with my 360 spider roof. Recently the interior head liner wont fold away, as seen below. We had a roof specialist refit the whole roof and make sure its straight and all that. It worked for the day we got it fixed, then after we put the roof up and left her for the next run this problem then happened. The soft part of the interior wont fold into its tray at the back which then leads to other parts not closing. I've
tried to push it down and even hold the liner towards myself and push it in that way, so far nothings worked. I've checked the it isn't a battery/power issue as the battery is fully charged when I try to close it. I'm considering buying a new headliner to fix the problem (if that is the problem) but I would much prefer not to. Any ideas to help fix this would be greatly appreciated.

The headliner and other two top layers are attached to the same point, so I don't understand that it's a headliner problem. If you've tried jogging the top open and closed, and tried power off/reset, then I think Leonardo is your friend. I had a similar problem with mine and finally gave up and had it towed to my shop, where the SD 3 had the offending micro switch identified and the mechanic adjusted in less than an hour. Good luck with yours. Top can be a PITA, but sure is nice!

Roofs..... so.... when were your elastic straps replaced? If the elastics are not strong enough the roof will not fold properly and will not tack away easily.

Second.... I am assuming this is the same on the 360 as the 430...... there are 3 bolts on each side... on the control arms that function the roof. They are visible when the roof is being operated, by standing outside the car. I do not have good pictures right now and have super slow internet connection at the moment, so I cannot try to find one. Anyway... if they are loose it also will not close properly. They are fairly big and are located close together. I am considering safety wiring them, but need to check that will not obstruct the top from operating.

Look like the metal bar in the middle of the top didn't fold properly, due to stretch elastic band, which prevent the top to completely folded.

My bet is worn elastics also. Try pulling the bar back from inside the cab....

Hey guys thank you all for the suggestions, it was indeed the elastic straps, had them replaced and everything went perfect. Thank you all.

Just to add my two cents… You mentioned that the battery was fully charged, but it is best to operate the top while the engine is running so the alternator can provide at least 12 V during the entire operation. Very often 360 convertible tops are more than one problem, so now that you have your elastic issue solved, make sure you operate the top With the engine running.

Yeah ive always run it with the engine one, but one Ferrari tech said that if the battery is weak it may not have enough power to pull shut, I didn't think this was the issue though but assured it wasn't by having the battery fully charge.

Were you having issues before the alternator problem? Is your engine lid latched properly? Are your windows going down? Can you hear the pump motor running?

You can find the instructions for manually operating the Capote in your operators manual.

You even get to use a tool in the tool kit.
