Can’t believe I found it, been looking for it for years. Today I was cleaning up my old room from my moms old house when left home ten years ago and today, I found it believe I found it, been looking for it for years. Today I was cleaning up my old room from my moms old house when left home ten years ago and today, I found it. This dealership has close down over 20 years ago and man, that was a lot of $ back then. So Im guessing with tax, that would probably totaled to about $64K?

Great find. I have the invoice (not window sticker) for my 84 Euro QV purchased from Charles Pozi in France. It was only $39k new. Amazing price difference between the US and Europe.

Yes thanks! I’m not really the original owner, in fact I’m the third owner and the original owner sent this to me about 13 years ago when I bought the car from the second owner. I’m going to make copies just in case.

That’s cool. I also have an 85 Euro QV that was originally imported in France through Charles Pozzi. It sill has the original yellow flash to pass lights. Unfortunately I never got the original invoice or window sticker. At least I have the DOT papers when it was imported into FL and (lightly) federalized then brought to CA within a few months in ‘85.

I have the original window sticker from my '89 328. Dealer was in San Francisco, sticker price was 86k. 3x8 car prices went up a lot in a few years between the GTsi and the last year of the 328!

Now hit one of the sites that does pricing from '84 to put into perspective how expensive your car was.

Part of the disparity is the currency exchange, the dollar was very strong vs. European currencies at that time. That disparity fueled the gray market importing Euro cars to the US, it was booming in those days.

I researched the price of few new cars in 1984 to compare how 'cheap' a 308 was.

    Chevrolet Cavalier $7,171 Illinois 1984
    Camero Coupe $7,571 Illinois 1984
    Chevrolet Corvette $23,392 Illinois 1984
    Chevy S10 Pickup $6,993 Illinois 1984
Chrysler New Yorker $13,045 Illinois 1984
    Nissan Pickup $5,634 Illinois 1984
    Volkswagen Rabbit $6,994 Illinois 1984

My parents built a new house in Texas in 1984, it cost $55,000.
You can still build a new house here today for the same cost of a new Ferrari.

What is that, a Nov 83 build? Probably shipped here in Dec 83. Maybe sold Jan-Feb.

The sticker is roughly 153,000 today.
