How were you able to do the whole heat shield complete?

Was not to difficult, it was fabricated for me in an engineers workshop.
As well as looking great through the grill, it looks great from inside the engine bay under the air boxs.

Isn't the point of the standard heat shield to stop the air boxes getting hot? Or did you put some reflective insulation on the bottom of the air boxes?

The shield I got is a heat shield for Truck exhaust stacks, so it serves the same purpose. I also left the original one below, so it is double insulation.

I also have on order BMC OTA carbon enclosed air filters that I am going to be replacing the airboxes with, to help eliminate heak soak which the airboxes do as well, since the factory ones are metal. It should increase flow and keep intake temps lower. I recall that every 10 deg in temperature is almost 1hp.

Ah, my mistake.. I thought the shiny bit was your muffler and that you'd removed the old heat shield.

Oh no problem. But that was the purpose to look like the exhaust since on this model you can't see it. On the 360 and 430 you can see the exhaust.
