Here's some numbers floating around online. Gives you an idea how many Pista's they might end up producing. • Sales Volume UNITED STATES o 488 Pista: 449 • Sales Volume CANADA o 488 Pista: 28 UK registered up to Q2 2019 - FERRARI 488 PISTA S-A: 128 UK registered - 458 SPECIALE AB S-A: 204
The U.S. / Canadian numbers are from the now deleted EPA certification document filed by Ferrari for model year 2019..... Ferrari forgot to ask for the product numbers to be redacted...they have done that for every other filing like most manufacturers. Pista Spiders were listed as: U.S. 231 (514 488 Spiders) Canada 15
I want to know where you are getting these numbers. Vancouver alone is already sitting at around 20 pistas, not including spiders. Unless you think east coast is only getting 8 cars.
Romans and Tom Hartley sitting on over priced stock, probably on SOR. Reality dawning. Spider should be stronger, lower numbers, placed with stickier elite customers and unless you want to go 1/1000 of a second quicker more fun.
Those UK numbers are not correct. Both because they are misinterpretations of the numbers from HowManyLeft but also because the numbers on HowManyLeft aren't right anyway.
According to those numbers you should be ordering a V12 Lusso for exclusivity because no-one else has!!
Gentlemen, if the document that Bmill posted is accurate (which I have no reason to doubt; thanks Bmill, that is awesome data) then it explains a boatload about why I never seem to see a Pista in the wild. In fact, the only time I've seen one at a dealer was at Ferrari Newport Beach, which we all know is a bit of an anomaly as far as dealers go. Having said that, I can't imagine that Ferrari built and delivered less that 500 Pistas to the U.S. in 2019. I wonder what we are missing? Of course, speaking as a guy with a car on the water, this only serves to enhance the narrative that the cars are super rare and fantastically desirable
Pointing out 2 observations for the data that was provided above: 1. It clearly states Projected Sales. 2. The report is only for V8 engine's thus no Lusso, 812 SF etc noted.
I agree with you. Ive seen that document before but that completely contradicts everything with whats being reported here that a million Pistas are being built. Bmill states 449 Pista coupes.. My dealer is getting 11 Pista coupes. There are roughly 50 Ferrari dealers in the US - multiply 11 by 50 and you are in the neighborhood of Bmills data. Some dealers will get more, some less but the back of the napkin math matches. I too have only seen 1 Pista in the wild -a Spider at last months coffee and cars- its a Fchatters car. However, if you listen to members here- Pistas are easy to get. Anyone could have gotten one. There is no rarity. Dont know what the truth is as its somewhere in the middle but Im just looking forward to enjoying the car and not getting caught up in all the hype.
So if you throw in 1000 or so V12 cars the total in the US goes to 3682 cars. That seems about right does it not for the number of cars Ferrari sells in the US? So the number of Pistas in the US may actually be accurate. who knows....
