    Thanks for your review.

Will you be thinking about trading in the 488 Spider for F8 /Spider?

Maybe folks have a very short memory about all the discussion here regarding the F8 being just a last minute fill in of the same car due to delays in the replacement. Add in the GPF that's much maligned and I don't see the OP's description hard to believe given the limited time in the car.

The best part of his review was that he thought the F8 sounded better inside and out

Ignore the negativity. Im glad to hear about your experience as you are among the first to have driven the F8 on the track. I thought it was an honest and informative post. Bottom line is you have driven the car and the rest of us have not and that provides your post with merit.

Thanks for replying. FWIW I believe you and since you drive a 488 its a legitimate comparison.

thanks for your support really appreciated.

as for the location, it is located in the middle east. Cannot give more details as i have mentioned somewhere here that i got an advice from friends that since my youtube channel has my videos with GoPro, police might track me down as in some streets i am reaching 300-310 KM from time to time. Meaning, if i get caught, I will have to pay some decent amount along with towing my car to police department garage for a minimum of two month!

Initially I would tend to agree with that, but with only two laps I guess the car is driven well below its capabilities so it's more difficult to feel its behaviour.
I drove a 812 at Spa for 3 laps and for me it was even less informative than a 20 mn road test I had some time ago.

Thanks for your thoughts on the F8. I would like to have been given the same opportunity. I appreciate your thoughts on the sound.

No way going to downgrade from V8 to V6

if V8 to V12 then this is a different whole story

That's the sound I have seen elsewhere and I think it a lot more muffled and sedate than the 488. Definitely not a fan.

V6, Hybrid and as ugly as F......that is if it looks anything like bb. So the future looks bleak in the F car camp.

Thanks @Hendry 2019 for your post of your personal experience and video. The F chat guardians of the galaxy are at it again. A guy who we know has a 488 post his personal experience on a track but because his opinion is different from “conventional wisdom “ then his information has to be wrong. I was at the dealership yesterday and the demand appears to be high. Ferrari will sell every single F8 they make at MSRP. Some will not like the car for whatever reason and a lot will like and buy. Demos should arrive at dealership early next year in the US. Until then we need to appreciate post like this by @Hendry2019

The 458 and the 458 spider are substantially the same car on virtually every level except for the roof. Yet after a few minutes of driving them, the differences between them become readily apparent. Similarly, the 610-4 and the EVO are comparably differentiated in much the same manner as the 488 and the F8. Within 5 minutes, the driving dynamics between the cars were dramatically discernible.

thanks for the review. To the critics, first of all, the 40 Kgs weight savings include the carbon fiber wheels which this car did not have. 18 kg engine,+5 kg lexan, polycarbonate stuff, rear spoiler etc. savings only. 17 kgs for the carbon wheels. 50 Hp increase, marginally improves performance. I dont expect a big improvement in driving experience over my 488 GTB with the F8. Im no Lewis Hamilton. The aero, ESC and the other tweaks wont matter to me I wont notice the extra downforce etc ... its a "geek purchase". No point arguing 488 vs F8. being a better driver? thats another matter.

Not true. The hardware is the same, but they have different suspension and electronics setting.

Word of caution, F8 will depreciate at 488+ levels.
