Dmark1, love everything about it...I see that red interior peeking out and it’s going to be awesome in person. Not sure I’m familiar with the hand painted shields. Can you share a little background?

 

The hand painted shields are done in the factory by an artist who paints each one individually on the fenders after production. They are about 30% larger than the “standard” porcelain ones and have no indention in the fender.

the interior is red and black with a white stripe up the center with white edging. Matches the exterior stripe.

Aren't the shields painted at Carrozzeria Zanasi (an independant workshop, certified by Ferrari and providing real craftmanship for special paintings)?

I’m not sure, if that’s the case. My dealership told me Ferrari painted them (but they probably don’t know the details as well as you do it sounds)..,

 

Just talked to dealer apparently my car is confirmed to be on the water NOW. Apparently their reporting and picture taking were waaay behind actual status.

 

There may be lots to give thanks for this thanksgiving

I'm still hunting and not giving up--no MSRP units to be had thus far (or even $20K over)...

 

I went on a long run today with several Lambo's and Macs. Awesome time. We hit some back roads and really pushed it. I have about 400 miles now and the sound when you let off seems to be getting better. Nothing like the F12 and SVJ but good in its own way. The car really pulls and you better be on point or you will hit the redline.quickly as it spins up super fast. I have a track day schedule next month and can't wait.

youre right. I am in south america currently so it ll take some time to pick it up then.

 

you don’t know the right people .

this is local to me

1) person didn’t take delivery of his pista coupe . Person bought it off the showroom floor at msrp (his first Ferrari . Nothing special about the person ie; conquest customer )

2) another pista coupe owner who is probably not going to take delivery (I know him personally). He has a changed personal situation that won’t allow him to . This one I might swoop in and get him to buy on my behalf )

 

Door #2 > is the Pista painted in your color or does that even matter at this point?

The vague I can get this car or that car doesn't help me.

 

Just received 20 days after car was at stage 40. As of today still stage 40.
