Gentlemen, I know this is a little out of the norm for us however Ford v Ferrari opens Nov 15. Anyone interested in grabbing lunch and catching a matinee of the film on the 17th? Not sure what theatre makes the most sense however we can discuss next Sunday.
I remember watching the '67 race on ABC's Wide World of Sports when Foyt and Gurney beat Ferrari in the Ford. I was 20. Loved the Le Mans start back then. Makes you wonder why we are all driving Ferraris instead of Fords.
Brett is organizing a trip from Gbury this Sunday over to Foxwoods to do the go carting. The plan is to leave Gbury around 10AM to arrive around 11AM when they open.
Should be a great weather day too for a drive to Foxwoods. Lunch at Scorpion after racing sounds great. Foxwoods Monza website...can preregister here: http://monzakarting.com/ A good video of the track here:
My wife can’t make it. Hey Jay, can I borrow yours? Don’t want John the brownie guy to get jealous so I guess I’ll go solo. Who besides Brett and Dean are going?
Looks like fun but too many walls. I prefer this. (Been there. Done that. And, yes, I got my ass kicked by the locals. )
John, I like Watkins Glen in a Formula Ford but that's not available to us this Sunday. Why don't you join us for the drive and lunch? No walls required.
I am out tomorrow. Just getting back from Ft Lauderdale and have a lot of leaves that need to be dealt with. May still swing over for a coffee in the AM. On a side note, I have the Z06 up for sale. If anyone knows of someone who may be interested, please let me know. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks for putting this together Brett. What a great day. Started with a C&C meet, a nice drive to Foxwoods, a couple lap sessions at Monza carting, and a nice drive back.
