Looks like an amend, off the block, but odd that it doesn't say amended on the website. When I looked at the car during the preview, it presented pretty well and the history file was comprehensive. So, yes, it sets a new price point for these cars but hard to tell if it has been bought well as the modern classics market continues lower. The Silverstone auction next week should be interesting with half a dozen or so Maranellos. If we see more trades likes this, for certain some of cars holding rarity premium like 575 manuals will need to reset lower. e.g if this car sold for 74k, then a otherwise similar 575 manual is probably 115k at best.
I'm also looking forward to Silverstone. It's quite a variety of conditions and mileages so it will be interesting to see the results.
The HGTC exhaust is missing off this car. Pretty early HGTC with no other options I can see, like quite a few HGTCs from across the pond. Would certainly want to check a couple of part numbers on her before bidding. A bargain for someone if she is as advertised.
2002 575M Manual RHD UK Asking price dropped to £135K. This car had been on sale for some time at Nick Cartwright for £150K. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201909051889300?advertising-location=at_cars&sort=price-asc&postcode=tn86qj&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=New&make=FERRARI&radius=1500&model=575M&page=1
Don't know if anyone knows this car here but I finally got mine! Been dreaming of a 575M for years and year! I don't know what I was waiting for but ever since I first saw this specific car I was smitten! They are doing a major service on it now and I should be able to pick it up 1st week of October. Factory carbon everywhere, I love it! Even the seat base and hand brake.. wow! Thanks Terry, never thought I be in a 575 but pretty excited to see and feel the differences to some of the modern stuff!
Joe, congratulations and welcome to the confrerie of guardians of the only road Ferrari every single design line of which is flawless. Also the best driving GT Maranello has produced. Outside of that, the car ain't much.
Two contrasting auctions this month: Silverstone in the UK where sell-through and prices for Maranellos and other Ferraris were low (although apart from the very nice manual 599, the stock wasn't the best), and the RM Portugal where the sun was shining for vendors. This result in Portugal for a nice but unexceptional F1 575: 2002 Ferrari 575M Maranello (CHASSIS NO. ZFFBT55B000129713) €120,750 When you can buy a similar car with warranty for less elsewhere on the Continent. A 456 M GTA and 512 TR also made hefty prices. Lending weight to Alan's points about the UK being exceptionally flat right now. Maybe the tax refugees entering Portugal are boosting the market there also. If you want to buy a Ferrari, come to England; and if you want to sell one, go to Lisbon.
https://impostosobreveiculos.info/ Tax will play an important role as you can’t import a car from another EU country without paying something as you can do between the many member states.
Barking up the wrong tree. The Portuguese prices reflect the high first year registration tax, which for the cars above is €40k+. In fact, those immigrating get an exemption to bring their car(s) car in. These taxes mean many Portuguese collection live in Spain or Andorra (even cheaper). The Saragga is an unusual case. Given these factors, the local market is limited, as implied by the tax adjusted prices.
Thats it! Ive had enough of these disappearing Ferrari's. Now my wheel is missing. I'm contacting Harry Potter he will sort it out. Prepare to have your Ass's fried!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here’s a LHD 575 with 45k km up for sale soon in England. Taz, this one doesn’t have bigger brakes than a 550 you will be relieved to know. Guide prices seems high but let’s see. https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/lf19/london/lots/r0062-2002-ferrari-575m-maranello/819163
And here’s a current price point, albeit for an unusual 550, LHD but ordered with mph speedo etc, 33000 miles. https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/25565/lot/16/?category=list&length=96&page=1
Two-three more years, and early rest of world 550s can be imported unchanged into the US. Some early 456s are already eligible.
Picked it up today.. WOW! Just enigmatic! Unreal really! It has the Tubi exhaust as well.. just sounds sooo cool! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Notwithstanding the evidence put forward in the past few pages on this thread, I think this U.K. dealer has his valuation exactly spot on. (It is possible that I have a vested interest in saying so) https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/ferrari/550/550-550-maranello-5-5-2dr-coupe-petrol/10120107#/home&gid=1&pid=17
Hahahaaaa! I saw that too. Very amusing. It's a special edition Pininfarina type F1 33 though, so obviously worth at least double the market rate of a normal 550 Maranello F133...
