Maybe I'll copy this thread and send it to the sales guy to present to the original owner with an offer. Seems like fair value should be more like 250-270K.....and the more I look at those seats.....

I think that the concept of the 70th cars was flawed in that painting modern cars in the liveries of classic cars doesn't generally work.
That said, there is a few I like (I'm thinking an Avorio F12in particular) but none I would pay the required premium for.

It does when done right. I think of this TM tribute to a classic, absolutely amazing in my mind.... https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/tailor-made-gtc4-lusso-tribute-to-1951-212.596207/

Subjective of course but to me It echoes the family owned 212 with subtly and class.
Better than any of the 70th efforts.

I personally never understood the appeal of the F12 70th anniversary. Aside from "special" inside and out colors (pretty sure Corduroy was also feasible) that could have been ordered on any non-70th F12, all it is to me is this extra sticker slapped on the lower rear side of the car. Literally a sticker that is slapped on.

Ohh. Tough crowd. I guess the lure of an auction car is that if you are ready, conceivably you could get a brand new 3 yr old car for $225 or $250k if everyone else thinks it is this bad. Can't forget the auction fees of 10 or 12%

These were made only to increase profits and stick owners who wanted to get LE cars.

I paid towards the lower end of the range you reference for a $390K MSRP car with 2 years of warranty and only 3900 miles. It essentially looks, smells and feels new. There are some good options to choose from right now and if you plan to drive it buy from a dealer and see if you can get that extra year of warranty included.

Update on the car if anyone's interested. It was a 'no sale' at Gooding Scottsdale with a pre sale estimate of 375-450. Now listed on their site for 360. I'd love to know what the high bid was. Still way too much I think but getting closer!
