    Hi everyone,

I recently inherited a 456, it’s lovely but it stopped working 2 days after my first drive.

the left hand fuel injector relay just constantly buzzes the moment the battery is connected.

it’s not the relay as I swapped it out and it still buzzes.

it was working fine but during a drive the car seemed to become really sluggish with lights on the dashboard randomly flashing.

i pulled over, tried to restart the engine but it was no use, just the relay buzzing and it wouldn’t start.

    any ideas?

    thanks

    Battery / alternator ??
When my alternator went, I had very similar symptoms.
The car sputtered and the dash panel lights blinked like a Christmas tree.

Measure the battery voltage; should be 12.6 volts. If not, charge and try again. If it won;t take a charge, you'll need a new battery but it may not be the battery's fault: once you get it running, check the voltage and it should be 13.5 - 14.1. If not, it is the alternator/regulator

Also of course check your OBD codes
