Guilty for not searching as im on my phone. Is there a difference or purpose red vs black? These 2 are in addition to my main one and I vaguely remember the red one is red for a reason?

The red one is the master fob with the PIN on it. You can use the red fob to program replacement black fobs. Keep it in a safe :)

Thanks. Can the red one cancel out the black ones if used?

So may threads on this. The red one isn't special once it has been used. You can't program the same PIN twice so you can't add black fobs with it. You could use another set, program those, then program again with your fob.

The one good use it has: IF you don't have your PIN they can extract it from the red fob. Does the red fob work on your car? If so and you don't have the PIN, it is fairly inexpensive to fix.

The metal tags are the codes for the ignition key, and are not related to the Alarm PIN.

Ok thanks. The alarm PIN must be in the leather pouch

The alarm PIN (Personal Identification Number) is a number that is encoded inside of the key fob. It is part of the cars computer security system that identify's your fobs to the car. It is not a physical item.

yeah, but there is a print out card, right? I presumed that is what he was talking about. (to be comprehensive, there is also a radio code card in the leather pouch typically)

I did not receive a leather pouch nor card with my 2003 360 Spider (4th owner) and I obtained the radio code from the dealer where I purchased my car. I've never seen a card so learning something new. thanks.

If you want a leather pouch the factory have 2 left in stock. It was 3 before I bought the last black one a week ago (£37)

After initial programming of the ECU to accept a set of fobs, neither the fob nor the ECU uses the Alarm PIN in day to day operations. This is what a PIN code sheet looks like after removing the top sheet. Unlucky in this 360's case since the zeros require 10 on-off ignition key cycles each.
