Took a two week vacation to do US-101/CA-1 down the west coast from Washington, through Oregon, and down to Los Angeles to spend some time with my BFF. Nine days of driving, and five days in LA and at Lake Arrowhead. The off days we were in my bud's Tesla Model 3. I believe I'll buy a Model Y, but that's another story.

Day 1: 31,695 to 32,440= 745 miles from San Antonio to Albuquerque.
Day 2: 32,440 to 33,080= 640 miles from Albuquerque to the SLC area. Visited my cousin Cathy and her husband Randy. They live way up the mountains in a remote gated community. Very cool place.

Day 3: 33,080 to 33,885= 805 miles from SLC area to Portland.
Day 4: 33,885 to 34,430= 545 miles up I-5 to US-101 and around the Olympic peninsula to Seaside, OR. That was October tenth, and the weather was perfect. Cool and clear in the morning, and warm and comfy in the afternoon. Here's a pic in The Olympic Rain Forrest. Very unusual day there!

And I stayed at seaside hotels. This is out of my room's window at the end of the day in... Seaside, OR. :)

Day 5: 34,430 to 34,860= 430 miles. Seaside, OR to Pismo Beach, CA. California 1 breaks off at Leggett, and it is tight! Way too tight to toss the 360 around with abandon, actually. Miles and miles of stuff like this, and midweek, so almost zero traffic. It was more fun than I imagined it would be. :)

Got to Pismo Beach too late to catch a second perfect sunset, but my room was two floors up from the car, so I did have another spectacular view.

That was the driving adventure, and the end of the next day I was just north of LA I think (It was a blur!).

I want to thank Jim, Clint, Ajay and the rest of the Ferrari of San Antonio staff for helping me to get this car sorted for this Bucket List adventure. Tires needed air, coolant needed topping up (I think the recovery system isn't working), an it used a little oil, but it ran perfectly the entire trip. Don't be afraid to drive these cars!

Yes, a couple of afternoons I did, as you can see here. It was too chilly most mornings.
