Pundits before the game said it was a must game for Houston. Reasons: had to win for their best pitcher and had to win at home. Pressure, pressure, pressure.

WAS eked out a win. Can't wait for this to play out.

Well, that didn't happen, since neither starter was as sharp as he had been (and Cole lost his first game since MAY!). But with Verlander vs Strasburg, the same thing could happen! It's remarkable to have this many top-notch pitchers in the same Series.

And I think this is a must-win game for the Astros. They can't go to D.C. down two games.

Mets pulled off that open 0-2 @ home trick in 1986. I'd advise against it, though. Took about 10 years off my life!

It's amazing just how many good hitters, both on winning and losing teams, have hit well below their season average (and many below .200) in this postseason, and particularly with runners in scoring position. On the other hand, it's also amazing just how many big hits have come with two outs!

The amount of runners left on base this post season in whole will be probably the highest ever. The Astros one game I remember hearing, cant remember whether TB or NY, they left 15 runners on base in one game. And 10 in another.

So many errors for the Astros...crazy.

edit: I guess 1 counted error...although it looks like at least 2 this inning with all the runs they're allowing.

    Now 11-2.

One more inning to Go unless the Astros rally.

It is snowing here...lightly. Everyone is psyched to hit the slopes.

I was reminded that the 1996 Yankees won the World Series after losing the first two games at home, and several other clubs have also done that. So as Yogi (purportedly) said, it ain't over 'til it's over!

You could shoot a gun off in Minute Maid and not hit anybody. One out.

NO NO NO!!!!! Not the train and fireworks!!!!

This is my biggest complaint for all teams of all levels. Stop celebrating anything when you're losing by such a wide margin.
