I have a new radiator and a new coolant temperature sensor for my 308. Should I use any sort of thread sealant when installing the coolant temperature sensor?

If it is NPT thread you should always use sealant. BTW- I think it is an NPT thread.

The standard radiator fan switch is straight threads with a crush washer. Ferrari part 101508, less than $2. In a pinch it is the same switch and gasket used in a ton of European cars in the '70's and '80's. It's not a special part but if you have trouble finding one, you can get one from most parts supply shops by asking for a VW part.
