Ferrari DIY upgrades and now puddle lights

    Hi everyone,
    Well I’ve had a productive weekend on my new to me california, first I did the brake light mod and also fitted 21w bulbs in replacement for the 16w bulb in the inner centre ring, this new brake light is now brighter than the surrounding driving light led’s so can be differentiated between the two by following traffic.
    i then made and fitted my remote control exhaust valve gizmo that makes the car sound like thunder even at low revs at the touch of a button when the mood takes (cruising along the boulevard)
    Then I fitted these beauties they certainly get the wow factor when opening the door at night.

    How do you mount them - can you provide a picture from the underside of the door where the "light" is mounted so one can get an idea?

    Hi
    The lights come plug and play they even have a mini hole cutter to mount them, now before anyone goes ballistic saying don’t cut your car trim for the sake of a cheap Chinese lamp I will agree with them.
    I removed the lamp unit from below the door removed the bulb and drilled through the plastic lens than mounted the puddle light in the hole of the lamp unit, the wires are simply plugged into the existing socket.
    Now YOU’VE RUINED YOUR COURTESY LIGHT I hear you all scream, settle down I will say they cost £2.57 each to replace and are a standard Fiat, Alfa, Lancia, Maserati and Ferrari part.
    Yes I repeat £2.57 each

    Andrew, I hear ya’, but do they come with the Ferrari logo already on the lens? I am asking cuz when you say plug and play, just want to be sure there’s nothing extra I have to search for to make ‘em work like yours. :)

    Nice work! My wife's MB has these and they are S-L-I-C-K. Saw these on ebay and figured they wern't worth the time but glad to see they look pretty good. Will order some too! If you want to change out the reverse & turn signal bulbs to LED.. lemme know. I tried a few different ones but found the right ones work great. Amazon special with no resistors needed and no warning messages.

    Here are the 3 different kinds that worked perfect for me. I can also send a video to anyone who wants to see them. I tried 3 different yellow turn signal LEDs and all were VERY bright so keep that in mind. Had my lenses smoked after changing the bulbs so it toned down the brightness.
    Yellow LED Turn Signal Lights
    White LED Reverse Lights

    If you do the mod to make your "real" brake lights work, then get these:
    Red LEDs for Brake Lights

    I got these puddle lights. More understated than the colored versions.

    This version has glass lenses which will not fade over time. The colored ones use plastic film I believe have faded for me.

    Takes about 1 minute a side to install. Just push in on the thin end and there is a platic clip you will push on with a screw driver. Gently pull down and you press in. On the electric tab there is a small button you press to release the connection. They even give you a mini screwdriver to do this.
