    Dear All,

being in Padua at the Auto Epoca I spoke to the guys from Borrani. I asked them if the have the 250/275 style spinners with Route Borrani on them, not Route Borrani Milano. They were not aware of the differences and do not have them.

    Two questions:

    Were both available originally?

Do you have contacts who re-engrave old spinners?

    Thanks a lot.

Chris, I had similar work done in San Francisco's jewelry district--not wheel nuts but headlamp rims and such. Call a few jewelers.

But before that, generally, the nuts should go to a plating shop. The plater will repair the hammer blemishes and finish the nuts in polished copper and return them to you. Then they get engraved. Afterward, the nuts go back to the plater for the final nickel and then chrome plating.

    Hi John,

Thanks. Will ask some jewelers. My father in Law has a plating shop and can prepare them.

    Thanks

Related to engraving and chrome shop - these guys did amazing job on a 330 GTC ash tray

    Rechromed and reengraved.....

Called Brightworks - they acquired corky adams business of restoring borrani wheels

They are in Ohio - when i find the pic of the ash tray i will post - was not cheap considering the intricacies of the detail needed

    Outstanding work...

not sure i have a pic of that, ill look.

i do not recall any dents though , just needed rechromings and the need to
retain all the detail ref the engraving.
