Rivits on tool bag

It depends, as always, on the car model and year of manufacture. For the tool roll the rivets/snaps were manufactured by "Fiocchi", a well-known italian manufacturer of ammunition. But were can they be found today is another matter...try "Maieli" in Italy, perhaps (?).

Try a custom leather shop. Like one than makes belts, jackets, etc. Or an upholstery shop.

 

The original fiochhi snap connectors are no longer made, I know, I spent quite a long time trying to locate them for making the dino 246 reproduction tool bag and tool kits.

The best one I could find was the 13mm Fimma snap connector but sourcing these in the UK is difficult. Fimma Italy don't seem to have a UK outlet and are not interested in selling over here!!

There are other makes very close to the Italian Fimma snap connector, these are as good as you can get over here.

Check the dia of your fitting, most used the 13mm stud but larger sizes are available.

In my opinion, you're better having these restored. It shouldn't be too difficult.

 

Totally agree although you will destroy them trying to remove. Leave as is imo

 

at the very least, they can be polished and finished without being removed.

 

Seriously, take the tool roll to a custom leather shop and ask them if they have something that matches. They may have something that, if not exactly the same, is very close and they could replace all the rivets if that is acceptable to you. What do you have to lose by doing so?

Is something like this doable, + a setting tool - you are going to have a few spare though!. Worth a go for the price, as long as you change all them most wouldn't notice I guess

Let me propose the obvious - for all the trouble you’ll go through for two rivets, in the end you’ll have two non originals as part of your bag. There are plenty of original tool kits for sale. Buy one. Problem solved. If you dig enough, I’m sure there are just bags for sale if you don’t want to invest in a whole kit. They’re not that uncommon.
