    2008 599 GTB - the leather on the binnacle over the instruments has started to pull away (shrink) from the dash and I am looking to have it repaired before it gets too much worse. The rest of the dash is OK. I'd appreciate your comments on repair shops in the area north of New York City in the Hudson Valley region south of Albany, NY. Thank you.

    When the leather pulls it often breaks the tips off the vents. Vents are difficult to locate, not cheap and, I won't be surprised if they become NLA in the near future. I got a new set and installed them but I kept my old vents so they can be scanned and new ones made if needed.

    It's a "risky" job not breaking any tabs or damaging the parts. It's not that hard but takes ome time to do it as you are cautios with it.

    My dash is good, but the cover to the airbag has some slight bubbling. Can this piece be easily removed to stretch the leather back?
