Do you have Popeye's near you? If so, I would give it a try. I find their fried chicken (esp. spicy) to be superior to KFC as far as chains go...T

Only problen is Popeye needs to start feeding his rail-thin chickens spinach, and lots of it.

I might give my towns new Popeyes a try. Grand opening was Friday. Neighboring town of Lynden WA has one that I've tried several times. And yes, its better then KFC.

WTF is going on at Popeyes? Yesterday and today the drive through is overflowing out onto the street and inside it looked like standing room only.

It's nuts. I just drove by the one by my house at 10:08AM and the drive through back out onto a main ave. A couple of people standing outside the door waiting for them to open.

I gave up fried chicken 9 years ago but still miss it a lot! My fave was Popeyes - just seemed crispier than KFC. I always felt bloated and a little sick after 2 pieces of KFC but not so much with Popeyes. Alas, I just can't eat that sort of thing anymore for numerous reasons.

Got my Popeyes fix last night. It was pretty good, got spicy chicken tenders and fries.

Our KFC's have gone downhill the last few years.
