430 Curious clutch wear

I don't mean to hijack this thread but out of curiosity, what's the calculation for clutch wear when you have the clutch position closed and the clutch position closed from new values? I know you take the difference between the two, then divide by some constant number that is supposed to represent the thickness of a new clutch. I saw where that is 8.2 and somewhere that its more like 5.6. For an F430. Anyone know?

I believe the constant that you divide by is 8.5 mm. So in your case, (23.15 - 20.02)/8.5 will give you the wear.
