Would have liked to see Kovalev from 3-4 years ago taking on present day Canelo. Kovalev lost 2 of his lasf 4 fights, never lived up to his nickname the Krusher against Canelo, seemed content to throw jabs and score points by contact instead of going for power shots. He didn't want to take Canelo's counter but he could have feinted his jab or straight and then countered Canelo's counter.

Canelo is a strong fighter. Actually he’s only been beaten twice, first by Floyd and then by GGG! :)

Definitely first fight and the second was very close as well. Canelo has an advantage when he fights in Vegas with the judging.

Absolutely! Oscar is very slick and must protect that Canelo cash cow. He knows how to pick the venue and judges! One could even add Lara as one of Canelo’s losses or at best a draw.

Wilder VS Ortiz II this weekend. :D

I am working, wish I was off as it was a very decent Heavyweight fight last time around.

I was actually predicting another Wilder KO in the mid-later rounds when Ortiz gases, but I recently saw a video of Ortiz training and he looks lean and mean!

He almost KO'd Wilder in their last fight, so he might have the opportunity to become the first Cuban Heavyweight Champion if he does KO him this time.

It's the year of the upsets, so we will soon see. ;)

King Kong looks lean! I got Wilder KO/TKO round 6-8 but will be pulling for King Kong.

I just don't get Wilder's style. It's so sloppy and awkward. I guess it works though.
I'd love to see King Kong beat him. I just can't see it happening.

What a hit by Wilder to retain the belt.

Floyd and Mike in the crowd... curious who Floyd will go up against from UFC in 2020...

I just watched a replay of the fight.

Wasn't the greatest fight by any means, but Ortiz was winning the fight comfortably till he got caught.

Wilder definitely has some serious power in that right hand. It was the game changer or game-ender on this occasion.

What a shame too, Ortiz was winning the fight and the weight loss worked for him because he didn't looked anywhere near being gassed.

Ortiz also had Wilder rocked RIGHT before he was knocked out. Bugger!

I would love to see a 3rd fight, but I think Ortiz has had enough chances at taking Wilder's WBC title now.

Bring on Wilder VS Fury II in Feb 2020!

Yep, still disappointed as Ortiz was doing it easy and was cruising to an easy win. :(

I guess Wilder waited and picked the right time to land that shot and it caught King Kong out.

Definitely looking foward to Wilder VS Fury II!

Hopefully Fury will do it even easier in the rematch! :D

Seems Wilder's strategy was to let King Kong be the busier fighter and tire but Kong was doing well with better stamina than last time. Wilder peppered with his jab while turning Ortiz and set up that short straight right perfectly that caught Ortiz flush.

    100%

Ortiz lost that weight which definitely gave him better stamina. Wasn't a good fight by any means, but Ortiz was doing enough to win those rounds clearly.

Perfectly timed punch, which was throw rather quickly too which ended the fight.

    I think so too.
Even though Andy lost all that weight, unfortunately the weight got him where he is.

Wow Ruiz came in heavy. He's going to gas if the fight goes late rounds. AJ looks chiseled as usual, he's going to be prepared this time around and won't underestimate Ruiz.

I hate watching Floyd hit the mitts. Its all Roger (is that Roger or his dad Floyd Sr.) doing the work. Watch closely. Floyd barely extends his arms. All show.

That's Uncle Roger. It is a press event and it is all show. I share a Doctor, Lawyer, and a Ferrari tech with Floyd. Not my favorite boxer but he draws. Boxing is all hype anymore.
