    May be not. I took the seat and rail off before. There are bbs inside the rail as I remember.

    Definitely a roller from the seat track. Somebody replaced the rollers with ball bearings?

    Well, you did ask. I think you'll find that one track has the ball bearings (48 of them - ask me how I know), and the other (with the seat adjuster on it) has two rollers with rubber sleeves. I couldn't find any suitable rubber tubing to replace the sleeves with, so I remade them from scratch. This was on a 400i, but I think a similar mechanism. Set aside a few days, chill the beers, and stay calm.
