Just felt a little exposed running about in the EU and U.K. without DRL ,s on . They became mandatory around 2012 for new cars and there are many retro fit kits . Most are tiny LED strips approx 10 cm X 2 long and look naff on a older classic . My side lights are pretty poor and to turn them on the main 4 pop up .It looks daft with the lights up and not off .Plus ruins the aerodynamics on say a motorway . The 208 GT 4, s don’t come with front fogs or rears for that matter . How ever the wiring loom is present , the +ve leads with spades are just taped off . So I bought some DLR ,s only £10 on eBay ( they all are LED ) and fitted . Initially the rectangular indistinguishable from OEM fogs on the 308 did not fit .The mounting flange / bracket on the car is not central to the space available it’s nearer the middle . So I changed them for theses smaller circular 50 mm ones . I’ve angled them down so’s not to dazzle on coming traffic . I wired the existing fog switch in by removing its power lead ( which only powers up with the lights up ) , and tapping into the live for the fan , which powers on when the ignition is on .So they are on an ignition circuit . Looks quite effective. I put bright LEDs in my front parkers and wired the circuit so the light pods stay down
I used a pair of something like these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/10X-Motor-Car-9W-LED-Eagle-Eye-Daytime-Running-23mm-12V-White-DRL-Backup-Light/141810127973?epid=1053966064&hash=item21048ad465:gioAAOSwytFbbObO and it came out like this on mine: Image Unavailable, Please Login Off above and ignition on, below.
