Of course we have to have OT :D
In all honesty SF doesn't deserve this game with their sloppy offensive play and dropped balls. Seattle hung in there and tool advantage.
GO SEAHAWKS!!!!!!!!!! WHAT A GAME!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!! YES - I'M SHOUTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jedi
Incredible game for sure. I can’t back it up to re-watch but it didn’t look like Wilson spiked the ball but kneeled it. Maybe it was camera angle?
SF was out coached. They threw three dumb passes. They had to run, get a first down and use up the clock. Those pass incompletions stopped the clock and gave SEA lots of time to go down and kick a field goal. Note they were in no hurry. They deserved to win.
Agree with this. I would add that we heard much talk in the off season about how the defense is finally good enough to go deep in the playoffs. I'm not seeing it. Giants 2x Skins Fins Eagles Those are the teams they've beat. Iggs are only decent team they've beaten. T
+1. That was crazy on Niners part. I think they used up 20 seconds on those three quick passing plays. You can't give Wilson that much time to manufacture a comeback win...T
I disagree. It wasn't coaching that decided this game. SF was sloppy on offense, made too many mistakes, too many turnovers (which Seattle scored 21 points off of), too many dropped passes (in critical situations), and they actually were STILL in a great position to win except that replacement kicker missed a 46-yarder in OT. Garopollo was 50/50, some good throws, some bad throws - but on the good throws, his receivers didn't help him with their stone hands and tipped balls to the Seattle D. I give Seattle credit, they took advantage of the mistakes, and made very little mistakes themselves...and, they never quit.
We've had a few good ones this year, more than usual, that's for sure. Thursday night and Sunday nights too.
I think Sean Lee needs to think about hanging it up, like so many GREAT players, he's just used up his body...
Cowboys disappointed as usual. Gave up early lead, had to play from behind. Dalvin Cook balled out. Cooper made some amazing catches. Zeke never got unhitched. Only one game ahead of Philly, will be lucky to make the playoffs. Last night's game was GOTY so far. Like a back and forth heavyweight championship between 2 stud defenses. 2 defensive touchdown's, a bunch of forced turnovers, crazy blitz packages and QB hurries. Too bad one team had to lose. After Wilson through that OT INT, I thought for sure Niners were going to win. Wilson frontrunner for MVP although I would love to see Lamar Jackson in the hunt.
So now the '72 Dolphins can again celebrate their unique position as the only team to go undefeated for the season. Nick Buoniconti used to be the ringleader; now that he's gone, I wonder who's going to pop the cork?
