I know it’s in French but that’s pretty well done what this guy did (IMO) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
First, I couldn't understand a single word. It was like an entirely different language. Second, if I was putting in that much effort I would have made a Pagani or a Bugatti out of it.
Scud? Looks more like a base 430. The front looks ok but the back quarters are hideous. Can't polish a turd a call it a work of art, no matter how much polishing you did.
Just because you can doesn’t mean you should. Story of my life. Obviously the guy has some talent. Should have put the time into a real restoration instead. Would have been a much better use of his time and money. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
What a waste of time, energy and money... If you cannot afford it, just buy something else... Faking it is terrible !!! Plus it looks like crap !!!
I think it looks fine. U got respect his talent and it only cost him 15/16k. I say well done. Not everyone can get the dream. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If you have that much talent, why not design your own car and have something truly special and unique, rather than have a car that looks “kinda” like another car that is worth no more than it’s donor?
I agree , maybe his 5 minute of fame got him some opportunity somewhere Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Here is why: being French I will tell u that some dreams are just unattainable. Back home school, healthcare all of that is fee, but the average guy will Make like 2k net a month so that’s the way to get close to the dream. I left for the US because here Sky is literally the limit. I don’t think the average guy is going to Have the same mental mindset as the US. Hustling is not in the mentality. Yeah but I’d rather be poor in France than in the US Bc if u don’t work u still have enough to eat and put a roof over ur head...Here...ur in trouble Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Makes sense.. but there's the "prestige" and the "engineering". To make a fake car for the "prestige" of ownership will always be beyond me. It never "is". Wait.. doesn't eric355 have a 458?
Hopefully this young guy, who seems agile and handy gets to work at a body shop on Ferrari’s. I’m sure he is capable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Props to this guy. he has talent. taste is subjective. I doubt any of us could pull this off. If I had those skills and the time I would create my own design.... and out some performance aspect to it. but props.
I respect the fact that this guy wants to buy a Ferrari F430 but cannot afford it... So why not buy an older/cheaper Ferrari like a Mondial or a 348 ?? For about 30-35k I bet he could find a higher mileage car !! So instead of building something completely fake, with no performance, safety or anything else... and spend 15-16k as you mention... save up and buy the real thing !! This is not the same as wearing a fake Rolex or buying fake clothes... Here your safety is at stake !!! Both active (brakes, engine, suspension, steering) and passive (crash test) !! I would hate to think what might happen in an emergency !! Plus at the end of the day, from an investment standpoint, what he built I bet has no value... So it is 15-16k down the drain.. Whereas ANY Ferrari holds value over time... Especially if you buy at the bottom prices... So it is cheaper in the long run to wait and buy the real thing !!
The truth of the matter is that all of these replica cars are useful is certain situations !!!! To be more precise, when filming a movie I would hate to see a real Ferrari F430, Testarossa or Lambo Miura / Diablo / Murci etc being blown up, thrown from a cliff, thrown in a lake, severely crashed etc etc These cars here are PERFECT candidates to be spectacularly destroyed for Hollywood films !!!! So to all those interested, please keep building them and giving them to movie studios to destroy them !!! LOL
as the old adage goes, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." A+ for passion, F for not working harder / spending all that time on figuring out how to get the real deal.
"The route is the goal". There are people who just like to do handicrafts. This is nothing reprehensible.
