What are the following challenge cars time?

355/430/458/488 at Lime Rock (if they raced there)?

    It was repaved in 2008.

Lap times dropped immediately after repaving, but have stabilized since.

The uphill turn wasnt very bumpy before the repaving as I recall, but there was a pretty big bump at the apex of the downhill before the repaving that they fixed.

The first car in the time sheets I posted was a 355, and was the only 355 that ran in the series in 1995.

I dont have any info for after this- maybe Google it?

I dont think the Challenge series has raced at Lime Rock with 488's

They used to have a pole at that turn back in the 70's marked 1,2,3,4 feet to see how high you would get. I think around 1984 or so they took the peak off the hill.
You could spin the tires all the way to the bridge if you weren't careful in a high HP car

I love the idea of the leasuring stick at the top of the hill!

I dont think they actually flattened the top, though I could be wrong. In the Trans Am race I did on Memorial Day, some of the cars were still lifting their front tires 2 feet off the ground.

They installed in the late 80s or early 90s an alernative up-hill with a tighter, slower turn-in and a chicane. Pretty much only IMSA uses it. At the same time they also installed a chicane on the outside of West Bend that only IMSA used, but I dont think anyone uses it now.

Yes right before, I should say a few years they scraped it a little bit or I may be wrong. possibly just the approach was changed. I know a few can an cars went over in the early 70's when they hit it full speed. I have some old gtu pics I'll have to dig up
