Absolutely! We are glad this has been helpful! As for the sound, the System with Flaps along with the Cat delete is closer to about a 7-7.5. It is certainly more subdued than the full open system.

One question though: On the Valved exhaust is there an X pipe inside the muffler like in the non valved ?

From the video it sounds very similar to the non valved when the valve are open.

 

There is internally in the chamber. However, it is still slightly quieter than the full open system when the valves are open.

Awesome thread! Using that same scale from 1-10, where would you put the non-valved exhaust (with stock cats)?

 

I would probably rate that at about about an 7.5 or 8. The non-valved for me is the way to go. It gives more of that elusive non-turbo sound that many owners are after. Add the catless pipes to a non valved system for an unbelievable aural symphony The cat deletes with VALVED system are also around this simply because the valved system quiets down the catless pipes just a bit. The difference between valved and non valved is not just volume but tone as well.

Hi guys,

Would anyone happen to be able to explain the difference in sound between the inconel and steel catback valved exhaust system for novitec.

I’m trying to decide between the steel or inconel

 

Truthfully between the two, especially being a valved system, there really is not that drastic a difference. 99% of the clients running these on the 488 are stainless.

Do you guys have an example of a non-valved 488 I can see in person? Really love the sound but concerned about droning during relaxed cruising speeds. I am local to the shop.

 

Hello, we do not any longer unfortuantely. We have since sold our in-house car for the F8. That said, the non valved version along with the factory cats has very minimal drone. Almost non existent really In fact the F8 system is proving to be the same! We currently have one of these systems on the shelf if interested!!
