Have Ed McDonough's book on the Sharknose but I will have to take a look again at the McKlein web site for their 156 book. I ordered the 312P book. The berlinetta, IMHO, is close to the 330P4 in racing car perfection. Glad to see a book devoted to it.
Who's Gianni Agnesa? A journalist, a collector, a technician etc? Inviato dal mio BAH-L09 utilizzando Tapatalk
Received finally a few days ago the book "Ferrari 250 LM - the remarkable history of 6313". With the Classiche certification, It's now clear that the car 2nd at Le Mans 65 is 6313. K. Bluemel had already mentioned it in a Cavallino magazine since 2001. The car was restored and certified by Classiche at the end of 2018. Studio photos show the 6313 chassis plate now reunited with the car. But no photo with the engine number ... I have pictures of 2012 (10000 Tours du Castellet) with a engine number as 6023. It is explained in the book that this engine, which also carries the internal number 16LM is in fact that of the 250LM 5909. So, what is the engine currently installed on the car ?
I have several Cavallino and Ferrari World magazines from the late 80s and early 90s I am looking to sell. Looks like a collection of these magazines are worth a little bit. There are 22 Cavallino magazines and 17 Ferrari World magazines. All these magazines are in beautiful shape for being 30 years old. Have the usual creases on the corners of the spine, but otherwise no rips or bends on any of the pages. Open to offers. 6313 should have internal engine number 166/LM (but has 16/LM of 5909) and it should have gearbox #22 (but has #30 today out of 6025). Based on factory build sheets. Marcel Massini
Couple weeks ago I got a copy of the hardbound slipcased large format book about 250 GT SWB REPLICAS, produced by GTO Engineering in the UK. Marcel Massini
See the McKlein web site for more information. I believe the 312P book will be a revised edition of an earlier publication.
You able to determine which car originally had 12/LM and when the engine swap to 12/LM likely occurred?
OK, I know it is off the F-car topic, but the last I'd seen about 12 months back on an Autosport book/nostalgia forum Mr DCN had asked for time to finish his Vol. 4 of the definitive BRM history. Haven't seen any updates there, wondered if any of the intrepid connoisseurs on this forum might have news.
I understand the new Ferrari 312 P book by Gianni Agnesa (McKlein Publishing) is delayed by about two months and will be presented officially at Retromobile in Paris early February 2020. Marcel Massini
