Love your avatar. The first time my parents brought me to Texas was to see the Hemisfair. Took my high school sweetheart to dinner at the Hemisfair tower some years later.

I now consider San Antonio to be my home town.

Getting ready for rebuild of 69 Goose. Any idea if Pantera control arm bushings can be used on a Goose?

Reach out directly to DenisC or perhaps Daryl here, they know A LOT about these cars. I’m guessing they will be able to give you an answer and always seem willing to help. Post pics ffs! :)

Here are a couple of pics...haven't been on the thread for a while given the car's been in paint forever...planning near term rebuild and am using Mangusta Tech Thread in another chat for most questions...thought I'd ask hear to see if anyone has had any luck finding Goose suspension bushings and that might not be on other thread

Red pic is what it looked like...platinum pic (of Goose prototype) is hopefully what it will look like!

Do you plan to black out the brightwork and cut in a fuel filler and sunroof panel?

I think the nose also went down farther on the prototype covering the top of the lights more. A lot of small differences. He could also add the wider mag wheels and put in a dummy motor with huge Webers to match the autoshow car :)

The front tires on the prototype look small and very low profile. Were they Pirelli P7’s? The new ‘it’ tire of the period?

Pirelli P7's didn't happen until the mid 1970's. They were Dunlop Racing tires on the gold showcar, with 58mm Webers and a dummy block and heads. It looked great!!

Don't plan on making it into prototype, just matching the color. You can see from the layers of paint and primer on my car (attached), the original gold color a few layers down appears pretty close to the prototype. The color under front hood is a little more gold - may be the light (which is close to color of 69 Chicago Auto Show car which a previous owner indicated this car was (who knows)). Believe I may have mentioned in earlier posts a while back its got a Boss motor with IDA webers, so it looked pretty good engine wise before.

If you need a set of authentic perfect period correct, and sourced nos wiper blades for your Mangusta, in black. I just listed these here in other parts classifieds. They were an extra set I sourced 10 years ago for my ‘showcar Mangusta’.

Jerry, I’m pretty sure DenisC - on here has a set or sets of original Campagnolo wheels for your ‘goose’ if you are seeking. Just FYI

I had no idea a body shell would be that expensive and shipping costs must be astronomical for such a bulky item.

Has a conversion from a 2-pop-up-headlight to a 4-headlight front been done in the past? Anyone want to share the experience please? Thank you!
