Suggest to post the entire photo, so that we can see the 166 MM Barchetta #0046 M in full.

Then perhaps you might know where I can find a photo of 0046M at the VIII Circuito Automobilistico di Senigallia, August 10, 1952?

Try the Senigallia book. And Italian mag "Auto Italiana".

I do appreciate your suggestions. Unfortunately, I have Quadraroli's Senigallia book and there is no 0046M photo there, and the 15-30 August 1952 issue of "Auto Italiana" reporting the race has only a poor photo of the 2000 class start, which may have to do.

Thank you for your suggestion. I have considered that he might be Franco Cornacchia because that would be logical, watching over a new member of his scuderia. The problem is that Cornacchia was in the race too, finishing 4th in a 212, so you would think that his starting position would not have been far behind the 166 MM and that he would be preparing for his own race, but it's still possible. Furthermore, Cornacchia seems to have been a portly man, filling up the cockpits of open cars. I'm attaching a photos of him in 1954 and his hair appears to be much more gray than the man in question. I have had the suggestion that the man could be Franco Cornacchia's son, Gilberto, but I have not seen a photo good enough to make a comparison.
