At the weekend I treated the the window switches and surrounds, P switch, mirror direction control and the hazzard warning switch with Isopropyl alcohol to remove the sticky coating with really good results. The logos were unaffected and the ‘feel’ I’m very happy with. The only other element I would like to do is the ashtray lid and fitting, has anyone done this and if so how please? Does the unit come out of the car easily? I did the other parts in situ but would prefer to take the ashtray unit out.

Thanks for the great advice from members, really appreciated!
