At least we are now seeing some drivers starting to speak their minds. Whether we agree with Max or Seb it's good that some of the bland corporate tosh is being thrown into the bin. Bravo !
But the podium ceremony wouldn't look right without the trophies. It would be just an hymn and then the usual generic questions by Martin Brundle or whoever.
Seb has a point about a lot of things. For me, he's the best driver in the world and the nicest guy in the paddock. I'm overjoyed that he drives for our great team.
Today's trophy looked like one of these with the pop head removed. lol Image Unavailable, Please Login
HAM was complaining about the trophy at Silverstone a few years ago. Doesn't matter to me, trophies are for little kids. Do you want them to bring back the laurel wreath too?
It's a matter of choice; some drivers collect all their trophies and put them in cabinets at home. Others don't bother. I saw photos of Arie Lyundick trophy room, and it's impressive, so is Bobby Unser's collection. Doesn't matter to you maybe, but however crap are some trophies, they still have value for collectors. An insignificant Heineken trophy certified by a F1 driver who has been on the podium is worth a lot for a collector. Some people can trade signed hats, autographs or certified photos for £100s, imagine how much they will get for a plastic trophy that doesn't mean much you !
Lol...Vettel worrying about the trophies. That’s like me worrying about what if the Victorias Secret models find out where I live.
Thankfully the stewards screwed up and didn't penalize Hamilton until after the ceremony. I'm sure Carlos Sainz didn't mind not being on the podium for his first podium finish. At least he will have his worthless trophy (with Hamilton's fingerprints) to remember the occasion by.
But you're not t'inkin'. Image Unavailable, Please Login If they know (amd break down and need to make a phone call), they'll move on to the next house. If they didn't, it might have been yours.
