Probably. Most LCAs I've seen have significant error bars arising from built in assumptions. For smaller chemical entities, they seem to work. For large, complicated multi-component devices like a car that have a long usage time, and are likely to be buffeted by political pressures, I'd imagine they are educated guesses at best...T

 

I talked to someone at Jaguar about it as well. FWIW, they said the program is "suspended temporarily" but not cancelled. I asked explicitly if they were going to continue with it at some point and they said yes.

 

Aston is prepping to do it as well with old DB series cars. Also 100% reversible.

 

Apparently a Bill Gates' funded project today announced a solar energy method that can make Hydrogen cleanly and in high volume so maybe they are onto something in the near future rather than batteries...
