Hi i need help I have the slow dawn lamp after startup. Error p1445 on right bank What I did: 1) I'm changing from left to right Cat ECU, EGT Sensor, rear sensor O2 sensor. 2) delete error code 3) run engine and after +-30 second Slow Dawn is returns (same code p1445 on right bank) Ok! 4) I take the tester and check the black wire (Cat ECU connector) on the ground - all fine 5) I check the power supply 5v - all fine 6) Signal line - 12V (left and right) 7) connect the connectors, ignition on, and check again. 8) earth - ok 9) power - ok (12v) 10) signal 0.5v (on both sides) 11) delete error code 12) run engine and after +-30 second Slow Dawn is returns Any ideas?
I replaced both of my Vescovini units with Gothspeed versions after my first one failed. Crazy that it still shows right bank after swapping them. Maybe instead of just clearing codes with the reader, which in my experience doesn't always work, try the kill switch overnight to reset the system and then try again tomorrow, see if the code switches. If it does, then you got a bad ECU, almost guaranteed.
Probably the Vescovini units...they are crap, that's why gothspeed made an improved version. If you really want to troubleshoot, take a look at my last reply. I'm all for it... But if one is going, the other isn't far behind. Worth the few hundred bucks and half hour of work to never have to deal with it again.
I have the green vescovini and as I said I changed left to right module and errors still to right side
Yes, then you cleared the codes with a scanner. The green units still suck, though a little less than the originals. Mine were green and failed, I could clearly see where they were cracking. Clear them with the killswitch overnight then try again. I've had several instances when I have cleared codes with a scanner, the light stays on, even though the MIL status is "off" and the codes still reside in memory. Resetting the computer is the best way to get a clean slate. It's not a Chevy. Dollars to donuts, you will end up replacing at least one of the ECU's
Cheap analog of oem https://www.reveltronics.com/en/shop/61/18/measurement-systems/egt-k/egt-k-1-ch-with-thermocouple-k-type-detail http://www.exhaustgas.com/ProductDetail.asp?ProductID=1891&DepartmentID=&CategoryID=&RepID=&BasketID= http://thesensorconnection.com/egt-electronics/all-egt-electronics/egt-probe-amplifier-signal-conditioner-module-0-5-vdc-analog-out and not need to pay 500-1000$ for oem . I think anyone can install it
You can get them for around 250. Seems like a lot of work to try to get and off the shelf system that may or may not work when you can just plug and play an be done for a couple hundred bucks.
I changed the egt sensor and the ECU from left side to right, the error did not go away, so the problem is not in them. I connected oscilloscope and found the noises on power line. I cleane all terminals and earth and problem go away
Someone here has already replaced the Vescovini unit with that ?? Dream or reality ? Image Unavailable, Please Login
It won't output the correct signal. The vescovini units behaves differently at high and low temperatures and has a small voltage offset bias. Blog post explains all here: https://technistrada.com/content/7-ferrari-slow-down-light-explained

right now i am trying to disable it in firmware, has not decided yet, there are no DTK errors, but the "slow down" still work
I vaguely recall that a Motronics ECU has caused at least one problem with an SD light on a F355, Alex. However, I can't find the message thread to confirm it. However, the probability is that it is still a wiring problem.
only one wire goes from the EGT unit without connections, it is difficult to find a problem here, either everything is ok, or an open circuit. but if we consider that after the start of the movement, the slowdown is disappears, I conclude that the wire is intact.
