Note they will only restore to original condition not historically correct condition. Sorry wrong place to get many Ferraris restored IMO.

Thanks. 6233 then? If so it had a glassfibre body and once had a 275 GTB/4 engine in it which I read in Marcel Massini's 250LM book.

On IPAD, so cant post pictures, and don't have it any more, but drove Tour Auto, LMC and Italia Classica with it, roughly 3000 miles mainly on open roads.

I think a Daytona G4 with open exhausts is wild enough,,and makes even more noise than the LM!
Video is on my hard disk, don't think anyone ( bar me and may be my co-driver who made it with my iphone) saw it,,ever!

You must post the video somehow. :) You may have to upload it on to another site like YouTube and then post a link to it on this site.

How about an original Series 1 Daytona Competizione #14437 with alloy body? You will know about this car I'm sure. See here: 1971 FERRARI DAYTONA GR4 ALUMINIUM

Or there's a converted to Gp 4 spec Daytona Comp by Michelotti with 450 BHP at Dick Lovett. It must be great to drive: http://www.dicklovett.co.uk/Dealers/Ferrari/Used-Car-Details/Ferrari-Classic-Yellow-1971-18721662.html

Another big mistake. And the "new" nose is wrong.

Wrong nose on 6051 now... interviewing Jackie Epstein in 98 for my article was most entertaining:)

Im actually glad they restored the car to its proper spec with the nose as it originally left the fac. Gorgeous car. I hope it makes it to the US for Cavallino.

To each his own. It was at the Cavallino Classic in 1998 when CA owned it and when I drove it at Moroso for my Cavallino article.

Though I personally prefer the original look, it has less to do with my personal taste and more to do with the original specification from the factory. I would hope all restorations would return cars back to how they were first built, to the extent that we know for certain.

As far as I recall -am in a restaurant not in my archive- it had that nose most of its life.

If one follows your reasoning the Breadvan, on which I wrote the book with Keith Bluemel, should also be returned to SWB body and spec?

Or my favourite and fchat nickname?

    Perish the thought.

Fyi even the factory accepts period modifications when they were documented beyond a doubt. They used the Breadvan as poster child for that special classification.
