Remember the white UK car with blue interior I asked you about?
It is definitely not 385 as I found a better picture of it with more info, it is apparently a manual car
The ad is from April 1990, but I looked up the registration MYX 175X, and it is still to be found in the registry,
it says the car was registered 08.09.1981, so it may still be around.

Yes and a lot of the cars seemed to have lived interesting lives, I don't write that ironically at all, I wish those cars coudl tell their tales:) The sheer quantity of cars was mind boggling, can't wait to go back.

According to the files kindly given me by Andy Heywood this is 431 initially white, silver for many years since, imported by a dealer in Blackpool(!) Last heard of being owned by Bartol Brown in Dorking in...1996 so yes it might be sitting there...

In practice, if the seller does not mention that the car was stolen and you buy it without knowing, what happens in terms of responsibilities and money?

Ask a New York state lawyer but don't send me his bill;-). I am sure by now they have at least understood there is a problem with paperwork...unless an Alabama title was finagled as happened with many a stolen car. But this is a debate for a legal forum not for the K thread:)

Dear gentlemen,
no idea why I havent checked this page in recent times. Drove K 082 about 10.000km this year and enjoyed every minute.

A friend who owns the only orange K 018 formerly discussed here is wondering about the right size and arrangement of the rear springs.
His car was restored with the wrong springs and now after a total rebuilt of the suspension the car sits way too high.
The spare parts booklet features 3 sizes. Thanks for your help.
Here are both of our cars at a recents drive.
All the best from Berlin

Guten Morgen Dirk.. (It is morning here in TN)….

I think I posted this info here once before. I have the following information regarding the front
and rear springs of the Khamsin. It may prove useful to you and your friend. I don't know why
the parts manual shows 3 different sizes. Perhaps someone else can shed some light on this.

Thanks again for the info on 431.

Here I think I found a picture of 369 owned by Alex in London.
Do you have any more info on this car?

Thanks a lot Mike. Apparently there are supposed to be different diameters also but not sure which size is supposed to be where. Happy to hear from fellow Khamsinisti what they have to say

Thanks

Hi Herbert,

Yes really enjoyed it last night in Geneva (English, Imax) great actors, Damon was of course very good but Bale whom I did not know was excellent even if he exagerated some scenes. Some Hezbollah Ferraristi have complained about certain things not being historically correct but they need to develop a sense of humor, understand this is for the general public and that it takes many millions to make a movie like this. No movie whatever the topic will ever please the humorless specialists. The story was very well developed and the human aspect was very, very strong. What made me really happy is that the audience, the general public on the theater last night was really connecting with the movie, with motorsport and that can only be a positive:) I will go see it again at the theater before its cycle ends because it is the kind of movie that is just better on a big screen.

Now for a movie about Maserati's history...that would be something...no script or dramatization needed;-)

Ahem sorry for my off topic moment back to K's:)
Hi Marc

So this time I got it all wrong.

Thepenier lists your #44 as #196, so I got muddled up, who is right? o_O
Is 196 the car sold by Autodrome Cannes ?

I know about the color change of 018, but I was thinking of #154 which was sold to Mr André Tissier and whose original color was arancio.

In this case my list for cars sold to france is incomplete for #88, #140, #154, #158, #168, #184 and #386, any help welcome ;)

At least I guessed correctly, that the car posted by Walter Bäumer recently would be 382, after I saw the advert for it.

Thanks for your help

Hi all:

-Dirk:

If you don't get a conclusive answer on the spring matter let me know I will dig into it for our friend.

-Roger:

So to start with 088 at the 2016 Retromobile show Henri Teisserenc President of the French Maserati club showed me photos of it, in red livery...he had recently seen it in the southwest of France.

Sold new by French importer Thepenier 15/7/75 to Mr Vilaseca

sky blue metallic,/white.

October 2019 for sale (perhaps) by Forza automobiles in Paris area with 28687km which is very low, wheels too shiny front lights sticking out of the bumper like praying Mantis eyes.

Wooden dash and plate around gearshift.

That is all I know.
Recent photos someone just sent me (was it you Roger? my life has been a blurr the past 3 months) show wooden dash and the chassis plate looks a bit...funny...

Hopefully it gets un-resale redded back to light blue molto soon:)

Hi Roger,

On 369 I have nothing only that MTC sold it 12 october 77. One of my favorite colors, could it be the mysterious LUE 162 V used in a few UK articles? So worth you digging into it:)

View attachment 2858283 View attachment 2858284
Hi Marc

LUE 162 V had clap-hands wipers; how often do these get modified? 369 shows wipers in the off position away from/to the left of the driver (RHD).

Actually I found the pic in ferrarichat, so I thought you knew maybe about it:

Hi Roger,

Good point had not looked at the wipers. Will PM this owner whom I do not know, I had not seen that post by him somehow. My theory is that it is 325 the ex Cameron Millar car, totally original, rarely seen out and about, still in the family. Wipers match like the color. And yes I love its number plate:)

Hi Marc

that may well be, but please look up the posts #6213 Mar 17, 2016 and your reply #6225.
My possibly premature conclusion was, that it could be the same person by the name of Alex, has he never replied to your post?

Hi Roger you are likely right and no I don't think he replied, some people only visit extremely rarely.

The Lebanese car is one of the very last US cars -13__- discussed here years ago, the owner was a Lebanese student in the US who comprehensively lost his licence after serious speeding so he stored the car on blocks in his grandma's basement near Nyc for years before taking it back to Lebanon. many years later he did the bumper conversion, I had great chats by email with him then. Will post details tomorrow.
