Hi guys, today’s not a good day, I’ve converted a wet sump 308 engine to dry sump. One of the biggest challenges is making the changes to the wet sump front cover to create an oil pipe boss. A friend did this for me and he did a good job but I’ve had problems sealing the banjo oil pipe to this housing which meant many test fits / removals. It’s a long storey but I’ve managed to cross thread the housing now fitting the banjo. Has anyone else managed to repair the threads on this housing? I really don’t want to take the engine out again

    Yes I can
this is the same cover-essentially-as is used on 288/F40 engines...
    Its strictly a T and M affair
Is it aluminum alloy-or mag alloy-this is a big deal-both effort and cost wise....

Dis you square every thing when machining the base components-oir, was this an "insitu" mod?
