Pity party post... I had "thanksgiving" dinner at the local pub by myself last night (Ania was working a long shift in the NICU). This food was crap. Gummy mashed potatoes, sickeningly sweet sauce on the 1-2 carrots, bland peas (likely frozen), what looked and tasted like processed turkey loaf and some sort of goo underneath that was supposedly stuffing. Of yeah, also had two "pigs in a blanket", which I guess are little hot dogs wrapped in bacon. Somehow the brits think that is thankgiving food. Worst thanksgiving ever...by a wide margin. The Guinness was as good as ever. Should have had two... I honestly had to fight the urge to stop into the McDonald's on the walk back to buy something, anything, that might make me happy. Thankfully, I realized they didn't sell what I needed and passed on by. Can't get out of this hotel soon enough. Move is scheduled for Monday... That sucks. I guess it’s hard to get something that resembles a semi-home cooked meal in a foreign country and you should go with the local specialty - fish and chips and lots of Guinness! At least you have a pic to remember your horrible meal.

I'm a big spender, took my brother to Denny's. Had the superbird. A little dry. Didn't get pictures. The price of real estate in Vancouver has pushed people out here. So the rental market is very competitive. Going to an open house tomorrow. Hope to have another viewing lined up in the afternoon. This mornings viewing was scary for what it was VS what they want in rent. One problem we have a new tax on vacant property. To avoid the tax, I think it needs to be occupied a year. I really only want six months to see if the new tax on foreigners and Vancouver hiking its property tax. Brings prices down. Nobody wants to do a 6 month lease. I'm also starting a new business. If it works and I have the revenue coming in. I want to find a forever home, never move again. I don't like anything on the market now. But if my income goes up enough, I'll be able to up the budget. In the high end there is lots of choices.
