Marcel- Great photos, thanks. Those wheels look really nice in silver. Think I would have wanted red or yellow calipers (maybe silver) on that F12, but then I always was a show-off.

    Thanks Marcel !

I LOVE "Gun Barrel " (Canna Di Fucile)... I LOVE those rims...

I would like tosee a picture of Silvertone and CdF side by side

100% agreed with Taz...Yellow calipers would have been great

Just noticed that F12 has the titanium wheel bolts (have them on my 575M). Anybody know if those are optional, standard, or accessories on the F12?

Thank you for sharing. I prefer the other multi spoke optional wheels or the standard wheels for the F12. For me these seem like there's not enough visually on the wheel. Never the less the car looks great in CdF.

Less is more to me. Plus those look very strong with the deep spokes and 3D structure. Shows off the brakes, too.

They work so much better in black on your black car- thats very sinister and the stance of the car is also much better than factory- thats a nice spec- I usually don't go for aluminum calipers but they work very well here.

The new wheels look impressive! Thank you for posting and I think I'm going to get a set for my F12.

    Guys,

I am finishing the spec this week on my F12, and soliciting feedback on wheel choice. Your opinions are much appreciated.

Grigio Ferro with couio and black interior, aluminum (silver) calipers, bright grill, shields. Choices:

    1) Silver 5-spoke LAFerrari-style as seen above (how are these ordered?)
    2) Forged diamond rims ($7,700!)
    3) Forged painted (light, not dark)

Thanks a lot. What about the center caps?

Are the faces of the silver, 5-spoke LaFerrari style rims diamond cut?

Forged diamond rims all the way! I thought they were not that special when looking at them on the computer but, after seeing them in person, they make a huge difference. Good luck and congrats on the F12

    Congrats on the F12!

I think that the diamond cut Laf style wheels would look great with GF met. similar to the car in Marcel's pictures. They might be orderable from the factory but otherwise Ferrari Genuine will deliver the goods :).

My choice would be forged in silver as in post #13 (with std center caps)
or the alternate, new design in silver as in post #21 & #27

I find diamond a bit flashy and hiding the beautiful wheel design.

Seems like black wheels are not an option for you. Good :D

Those new style wheels would look great in silver where you can see all the fine details. I as some, don't understand the current fad with black wheels, I think it ruins the look of a car - and the look of the wheels. Hopefully that trend will soon come to an end.

Note how Ferrari (and others), when the are testing a near-production prototype with production intent wheels, black out the wheels with paint or tape in order to disguise these from the spying photographers. Says a lot about what black does to a wheel, besides making the car look like it has two black holes where the wheels should be.

Black wheels give somewhat a racy look sometimes, stealth, bada$$ and all, but it's a look that doesn't work 100% of the times (like, for an elegant GT!). A stationary car in good lighting might not look too bad with matt-satin black wheels as is the case of some LaFerraris, errr... sometimes. But in every other circumstance is as you say, wheel design is lost and from the distance you have the impression of big black holes.

Just switched back to stock in case anybody is desperately seeking for such a black set ;)
Any more infos about the weight comparison...? forgot doing it before putting the others back on.

i’d say these just make the impression of a very classy timeless gran turismo whereas the tdf ones are quite aggressive... similar to the optional forged ones!
