Not the part about the cost though. Nothing left on the table again.

Not according to Ferrari; the plan was to improve structural rigidity and get weight out by building a smaller car. The V8 was chosen because it got rid of 200 pounds and was tuned to 560HP in a 3.0 litre twin turbo spec.

I didn't follow all this thread from the beginning, I just read at least 200 post of this thread to learn something about the new 812GTO or what the name it will have, but I just read about financing, market strategies and so on: is there some news anywhere here about the new car? Thank you very much!

    Ciao

AFAIK the plan was always a hybrid V12 in a CF chassis. CF is a given it the Ferrari hypercars.

Just saw on Italian forum that a brand new V12 is in the pipeline too.
Do you believe this information is plausible ?

There is such a rumour. Ferrari have been on record saying that the V12 will continue to live as long as the laws allow it to.

No wonder all the talk about depreciation. Upside down on the car as soon as it leaves the lot!

Its more to do with the cost of finance which has become very cheap. Also one can depreciate and expense any interest if the car is used for business purposes i.e. say a sales person. So most people prfer to keep their cash for other purposes (investing) and use finance for cars which could be a tax deduction.

I’m trying to imagine an audit where I could write off a +$300k car as a business expense... truck yes, 812 SF, nope!

    Ha!

Does someone know if regular 812 will be updated with GPF to comply with new European emissions regulations?

Really? I’m not in sales, but that is amazing to me. Most sales guys I know put thousands of miles per month on their vehicles. I’m thinking there are very few who actually make sales calls in exotics. I guess it depends on what you are selling for sure and the client base. Pretty sure if a sales guy pulled up in a new exotic, I would think he is getting too big of a commission. But I don’t doubt you that it can be claimed!

I love learning things on FChat!

Ok back to speculating about future V12’s!!

I for one hope for another rear mid V12!!

Mine is coming June 2020 (ordered March 2019) and the engineer at the F8 cabrio presentation told me my 812, as it was probably going to start to be built in 2019, it will have no GPF

Even when I don’t “need” finance I often take it as dealers get incentives from Ferrari for using FFServices. At like 6% flat.
