    How so?
Who on the open market is good enough for them to break the bank on?
(keep in mind someone that doesn't have am injury history: that stops a couple
    of 'elite' WR's right there...)

Actually that is a common misperception. The Patriots historically spend almost all their cap money. For example this year only 5 other teams spent more on payroll than the Pats.

The reason people think they are cheap is because they don't pay any player, including Brady, outrageous money. This allows them to pay more money to lower tier players and hence attract a better caliber player. It's baffling that no other teams seem to grasp this simple concept. Of course you do have to have star players that understand the concept.

Yep. For most players, cash is more important than winning, I suspect. Can't say I blame them given the shortness of the typical NFL career. Cowboys will be on the horn of this dilemma with big contracts in the offing for Dak and Cooper, and big $$ paid out to Lawrence and Elliott, who've been nothing spectacular this year.

What's "impressive" is that Dallas is the #1 ranked O, #10 ranked D. And they're 6-7. How's that possible?!? Only thing I can conclude is that it's a team with no killer instinct, no heart. If anyone else in the NFC East was having a good year, Boys might be fighting for a top draft pick.

That's my sad view of this year's team of underachievers. ☹️

Cowherd says DAL has only won 4 games when they have been behind at halftime IN THE LAST 5 YEARS!

That's coaching. Bellychick adjusts at halftime and wins.

Note that DAL marched right down the field on their first possession...it was scripted. Until they got in garbage time in the fourth quarter they looked pathetic on offense. Another game where they couldn't score in the third quarter. Much of that is coaching...bad DAL coaching and good opponent coaching (this week CHI).

If Garrett is still HC at DAL next year I will be shocked.

I think it's a given that there will be a head coaching change at Dallas soon. Even Dan Snyder know's how to fire a coach. Perhaps that's the only thing he know how to do, but don't get me started . . . .

Highly conceivable. Doesn't matter Cowgirls will prolly get waxed in the first round anyways against GB/SF/Minnesota. Aaron Rodgers owns Dallas even on the road.

Suprised Marinelli still has a job this morning.

Some delusional Cowboys fans after that mirage of a 3-0 start. SB bound and Garrett is a better coach than Sean Payton? LMAO

Tom and I knew/know the truth.

D Law and Jaylon Smith not playing up to their contracts. Smith gets $64 mil/35 mil guaranteed and Trubisky goes his way 3 times in a row in the end zone talk about lack of respect as a defensive player.

Garbage time points makes Dak look better than he is. Missed some easy throws and wasn't on the same page with his receivers several times last night.
