Coming soon in 1/12th, the all new tool GT40. This one might end up being a surprise great model. The company doing it does pretty nice kits. Image Unavailable, Please Login
In the first photo, I thought that I was looking at a bar of soap! Hopefully the finished model will be much better than that!
With the recent movie release, I suppose this was inevitable. I'd like to see some decent models of the Ferrari P3 in all the major scales, from 1/12 down to 1/43.
Just a tiny bit concerned because their text describing the model talks about lots of detail but includes the term "snap-fit assembly". Perhaps it's a translation problem.
Yes I noticed that too, but also full detail. Strange and a concern but I bet it is still better than the Trumpeter kit.
Apparently Meng have done other snap-fit kits - someone on Facebook is quite adamant that they are excellent. Lots of comments that it will be toy-like - LOL - that would make it a rerun of the Trumpeter so let's hope not!
I have seen some exemplary snap-together kits in my time. They may not have the same level of fine interior detail as glue kits, but there is no reason for any lack of accuracy. As an example, years ago Monogram made a snap-together 1/72-scale kit of the early, short-wings & tail, Martin B-26 Marauder medium bomber that for many years was the only kit of an early B-26 available in the scale. I saw several examples of this model built up at model shows and you could not tell that this was a snap-together model. Only in the last few years have new, more detailed, glue kits of the early Marauder become available.
I knew it was only a matter of time. FPPM Ferrari 250 GTO assembled wire wheels in 1/12th scale coming soon. I hope he does some 1950's Ferrari wheels also. They look nice. I have the Alfa Monza 1/12th wheels and they look even better!! Can't wait to put them on the Monza and soon the FPPM Alfa Mille Miglia 1933 Touring winner trans kit Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Coming soon in a small batch of kits in 1/24th scale. Will update when ready. No other information at this time. Cisitalia 202 Image Unavailable, Please Login
As always Tom, thanks very much for posting all of the new kits info. Please do update on this Cisitalia kit and when it's available. I know that I would like to buy one or two of these.
Also and Casitalia coming soon in 1/24th in limited numbers made to a very high standard, so not inexpensive. The Alfa Romeo Mille Miglia winner 2.3 that FPPM will do in 1/12th as a transkit below. He might also do the 1932 winner. The first one out will be the 1933 Lemans winner 2.3. So we might get 3 1/12th kits now Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Who is going to be producing both Cisitalia kits? Looks like I'll be buying some kits this year! That other Cisitalia just shown is another "must have," and so are the big FPPM transkits....
The company is G Detail from Italy. He only does small batches of highly detailed kits with full photoetch. A lot better than Hiro on the details any day of the week if you can get one.
Here is his Flickr pages and his name. He is on facebook so message him. Also has a thread on automotive forums. The other kits shown I think are out of production and were around $200.00 each. I tell what is coming out but I am not a retailer. I cannot guarantee everyone can get all the kits I talk about as they sometimes are very rare and limited. You should be able to get them if you act quickly , but expect them to NOT be inexpensive. www.flickr.com/photos/152577544@N07/ http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=1152729
Alpha Model 1/24th scale Pista. This company makes very nice kits mostly in 1/24th but a few in 1/18th(I hope the 1/18th are pre painted snap together). I wish they would do a Monza SP2 kit in 1/24th scale also. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Surprise from Tamiya in 1/24th scale. The SMP24 Ferrari looks nice. I wonder if the movie is driving this and the 1/12th Ford GT coming out. Now we need a few vintage Ferrari plastic kits to go along with these. Image Unavailable, Please Login
